Hey guys,

I have been building my Pinterest account for about a year now and it has gotten pretty large. I have about 2,400,000 monthly viewers and my pins have a monthly engagement of almost 200,000.

I wanted to know in your experience, what is the best way to monetize this account?

The page is in the wealth and luxury niche.

I currently use it to promote my affiliate site and that brings in about $200-$250/month.

I feel like I could get a lot more creating a luxury Shopify site (Watches maybe) or just sell shoutouts or advertising for other people
.

Every day I get about 300-400 click from Pinterest and that is growing every day. I'm thinking I could get it to a 1,000 clicks a day if I optimize how often I post.

One week I really tried to optimize my account, posting every 3-4 hours and got 800 a day.

Should I just try other ways to monetize it? The only thing to lose is time and maybe some money.

What are your thoughts?

thanks!

the wealth/luxury niche is a bit harder to monetize than other "general" niches (like dogs - where you sell dog products, shirts...) the most common way is for you to reach out to rich people, or rich people to reach out to you for you to share their stuff (and you get paid for the feature). People selling products in the luxury niche are a target for you, as you can be their traffic source.

If you want to make your own income (without selling shoutouts/features), shopify is one of the ways to go (watches, bracelets)

you should also consider "get rich" guides - clickbank products have high commission rate, and people who follow luxury pages usually have that goal in mind, get rich(er)

Yeah I am promoting clickbank affiliate links on my website and that where the $200-$250/month is coming from.

I am leaning towards starting a shoppify site and selling luxury watches and things like that.

Hi,

Could you please elaborate on the method you used to grow your account over the last year ? Thanks and good luck ! :)

99% of the growth was organic. I post good photos then huge accounts would repost my photos and from there I would get clicks and follows.

Are you collecting emails? :)
Always.
I'm not sure if your site is brand-able, if it isn't perhaps get one that is. Why limit to just watches?
Think LUXURY
- Men's accessories - classic cars, toys like this
- Women accessories - Ideal cut diamond pieces that start at 50k+
- Luxury travel (think private jets and yachts)
- Luxury accommodations (Private island rental)
- Art?

Not sure of any viability to the above but food for thought.
I have no idea how to set up a site for that stuff. I'd rather get 4-5 sales every day at $20 then one sale every 6 months at $10,000.

Nice thinking outside the box though

How much are you getting from your email marketing? With these numbers you should have a decent list

Honestly my email marketing skills suck. My list is only at 2k and I don't think i've emailed them in 3-4 months.

I hear you. I'm not an expert! I read a few months back about some people doing well marketing to that segment of the market. I know know idea if they were doing a few sales and making big $ or just using the site to attract the people and make $ through affiliate and the odd sale. Either way... GOOD LUCK!

First of all, there seems to be something utterly wrong with the content you are posting.
With that kind of reach, you should get at least 2,000 clicks per day. You are probably just posting luxury watch and yacht pictures nobody ever wants to click on...so i'd rethink that before i'd adjust the rest.

as for how to monetize: It really depends if your content is true luxury or luxury for 20 year old who want to be rich.
I'll asume the later, so i'd try to sell cheap watches, bracelets and such. Maybe an online course "how to become a millionaire in 6 months" works as well.

If you truly engage an affluent audience, then the possiblities are endless, but affiliate links won't work. Nobody buys a 20k trip or a 200k car via a blog recommendation.

why not do affiliate marketing for much nicer products? CB seems like an odd place to send an audience who is interested in expensive products

I feel like I may have accidentally lead this post astray. Most of my followers are indeed 20 year olds that want to be rich. Good catch!

Create your own sales funnel and offer up luxury type things like expensive brands.

You can try Amazon Affiliate.

If you become a Shopify affiliate, promote a Shopify free trial and when people sign up for a paid plan you get 58$

I'm trying to figure out Pinterest traffic hit me up lol

Do you create those "good photos" yourself? Or just download good photos elsewhere and pin it.
