Hey guys.

I've been lurking around forum these days and decided to make a few MNS, however lately I've been reading, that MNS are being punished by Google and it's really hard to rank them even when you have EMD, because Google these days prefers authority sites. So my question is should I go for MNS or start working on Authority site?

Also I monetize my sites using Adsense.

Peace, Houstonas.

Authority sites are your best BET, but even if you try with MNS you can earn something.
As for MNS, I don't think they are done, I know a lot of people that are still banking with MNS, you just have to work a little more to rank them.

you answer it in your own thread, "Google these days prefers authority sites"

Whether your site is considered authority is about link profile and domain age more than anything. I guess it doesn't hurt to have more pages, but all my best earners are still 1-5 page sites.

I have tons of micro-niche sites (5 pages) that rank well and get good traffic.

It is all about links, not the size of the site.

Of course the more content you have the better, but having a ton of pages is not necessary to rank well (though it doesn't hurt).

5 page site, each page gets 20 visits a day, means your website gets 100 UV/day.
50 page site will get 1000 UV/day..

More traffic, more money..

MNS isn't done yet, just the way of ranking is getting different, more quality links and you are good to go.

If you work hard to build enough links, micro niche sites can still be profitable

You got it wrong, authority sites are done, micro niche sites are now king.

#Edit#Not joking - Authority sites are being hit left right and centre unless 110% whitehat. Google's freshness algorithm is crazy right now. Newly registered domains rank extremely well, instead of building authority websites and having them penalized we have better success ranking a microsite and just waiting for it to be hit, then launching more. They outrank the 10year old "authority" domains very easily.

So, according to Google?s SERPs on that day Citadel-insurance.co.uk was more important than long-established insurance providers such as Tesco Bank and Money Supermarket. In other words, Citadel-insurance.co.uk, a brand new domain with a website that had no content, managed to rank within just a few days in positions that other big budget long-running businesses with big spends may have never reached after years of effort. - See more at:

I think they will stay with us forever :) If they'll last, that's not today.

Well its human nature to circulate speculation as we are I think prone to gossips & rumors then real hard facts.don't hear or listen to B...S... what people says when its comes to making money online regardless its ranking or you are doing any other stuff. There was & there is & there will always be competition & roadblocks on your path but you need to remove throne from your path if you want to be successful.

just create both and test for yourself and see which one works & which one don't

Exact match domains have worked well for years, and they continue to work well.
