This is really a good method to do the keyword research, Though i don't use Ahrefs i can implement some of this method on my free tools also.

Great guide! I'm already implementing something similar but I you gave me few new ideas. I have 1 question though:

What's the purpose to exclude specific keyword categories (thumbnails, featured snippet, image pack)? Excluding the Adwords top is understandable

Ubersuggest and spyfu for finding top ranking keywords of competitors.
Apart from that keyword everywhere and google for generating user search intent keywords as its important.

I mean, just writing a good SEO optimized, long form article is enough?
Or do we still need good, authority backlinks?
