Haha maybe I am missing something big here....
But wouldn't it be way better if the second link was the direct download instead of the real media fire page?
Can't you just right click on the real one and do copy link address and then use that one instead? (For your demo it would be
http://download1448.mediafire.com/q1eleer19cmg/ycck9dp24jcape2/CPAS.rar).
Would that work? Then it would actually download it instead of redirecting to another page....because i think most people just get pissed off at the offer (they click once, they hit a content lock. They click again, redirected to another page.....at this point I think they are ticked lol).
Also I dont get why you have to split it....why dont you just make the entire picture link? I dont think they are going to click anywhere else anyway haha.
Just a few thoughts

Im a noob so sorry if I am missing something obvious.
Hi,
I'm going to give you reasons for why I'm not happy about what you suggest,
BUT: I LIKE that you're thinking. This is what needs to be done, posts like this
should be read, and thought through, and then you will come up with other
twists and spins and create your very own, unique version.
So, no apologies for newbiness needed - valid thoughts are apprecaited,
regardless of whether they would work or wouldn't, it's the fact you're
thinking that counts
On to your suggestions:
The download links are created dynamically. That link to the download
which you posted, was created with your session ID on MF. If any of US
click on it, it takes us back to the page I linked to.
For the second suggestion, yes, you can use one full image and link the
whole thing. I threw up a second demo earlier in this thread to show what
it would like like - I didn't add the code as I couldn't be faffed, but might
add it in a while. It just "looks" rather poor, and, depending on your
host/server can take quite a bit longer to load. IMO it also looks kinda
weird, for your visitors, for the whole page to be clickable, but that's just
an opinion.
Here's a thought, for any one of you going to implement this:
Why not set up two pages, one sliced, on full-page image. Then, promote
both, equally, and run the split-test. I know many people would appreciate
hearing the results. I never DID split test this myself, because I found the
slicing rather easy and, imo, it looks better, but you DO find, sometimes,
that the absolute worst-looking things occasionally convert the best, so it
would be an interesting experiment.
Perhaps I am a blind fool, but wouldn't it just be easier to full page iframe the mediafire page and just throw your content locker on that?
Ooooohh, nothing to do with being blind, nor a fool. It definitely WOULD be
a lot easier. The problem is that MF busts out of iframes, so it won't work
