[METHOD] Popups made easy! 2000$/month

Approximately how much do you need to do this?

Others experienced guys in the thread said around 1000-2000 $ to test caimpaigns and be able to find the winning ones...you need to have a budget for this.

All PPV traffic sources offer targeting.
Have you experienced sensitive differences in CR from the different sources of traffic (different PPV networks)...or they serve all similar traffic?
Thank you.

Pop traffic is a great way to get started in Media buying. I started with this and now I've moved on to promoting nutra offers with native ads.

Some tips for beginners:

1. Use tracking software. If Voluum is too expensive for you, try BeMob. If you don't track your campaigns you can't optimize an you won't make money. (Unless you get lucky)

2. Buy Adplexity Mobile spytool. Guru's will tell you to test landing pages, offers etc. and figuring everything out by yourself. That's not how it works. Just copy what's working for other affiliates right now and improve on that.

I struggled for 2 months before buying this tool and got my first profitable campaign the day I started using it. Yes it costs money, but it's totally worth it. You will lose way more test budget by figuring everything out by yourself.

3. And finally, learn how to properly setup campaigns on your traffic source. Take Popads for example. As a noob you would probably let Popads smartbid for your (default option). But just by switching to legacy bid you will save a shitload of money. Find a good tutorial. I can't post links, but Google PPCMode Popads Guide and you'll get a good one. The guy who made the guide also has a paid version with video walk-through. Totally worth it for noobs.

Yes you will need about 2k for the tools and testbudget. This is serious business and needs an investment. But once you get it to work, you can scale as high as your cashflow allows. You can't do that with SEO sites or whatever.

Pop traffic + mobile offers is a great way to start. Once you get some traction. You can scale up to other sources and verticals. BUT there's a lot more to it than what OP is suggesting in this thread.

Having said that, paid traffic is where the big money is. $x,xxx daily profits are very doable in a couple of months if you put your mind to it.

Sorry for the long post! :)

Interesting OP. Can this method be used for adsense? Has anyone tried?

Thank you for these tips Slippers :)!

What about Adplexity's price? As is nowhere written or mentioned in their website (and even in google) I guess it's quite pricey...probably in the range of 100$+ or something.

Yes, there is sometimes a huge difference. You get to learn quickly which traffic sources are best for your geos and verticals.

It's $150 a month and I'm dumping it this month in favour of manual spying with residential proxies.

Awesome thread! What would be the best hosting in regards of price-value for starters?

From my understanding I need a domain for every landingpage that I create and the names of those arent important, right? Offer related domain name is sufficient?

A reliable VPS + CDN (Rackspace/Cloudfare/Azure/AWS etc). The reason the CDN is important is page load times. If your page takes long to load, then you will lose clicks as someone can close the popup/under before it's loaded.

I run a single domain within each geo + vertical. It's not necessary, but domains are cheap (less than $1 with NameCheap). Domain name doesn't make much difference.

I use Vultr without CDN for my lp's. Just pick a server in the geo where you're running your campaign and you're good.Starting from $2.50/month and you can scale while you grow.

Thank you Sep for the reply.

How do you know which offer converts well with manual spying?

Talk to your AM, ask which offers are converting in your geo, look at the offer pages (ask if they are geo-locked).

Also you need to understand the types of billing for offers - https://academy.mobidea.com/media-buying/concepts/mobile-billing-offers-flow-explained/

With antivir, most people don't know what they are paying or they panic buy it to 'fix' their phone. The best offers are those that seem to indicate they have a virus and with limited billing information.

This offer will convert well with Mobidea:

Someone just sent me a PM asking if they need to buy a spy tool, because he things he has a pretty good idea of how to target. I think this is a pretty common question, so I thought I's share my answer here as well.

Do you need a spy tool like Adplexity? NO but I highly recommend it. As I see it you have 3 choices:
  1. Start testing without spying. Pick a traffic source, pick a few offers to rotate. Build your own landers and rotate. Test, optimize, repeat
  2. Do manual spying, using proxies, emulators etc. Log data in a spreadsheet, rip landers, start campaigns and improve.
  3. Buy spy tool that does all of this for you (including direct downloads for landers) and copy and improve on whats already working
Can you see what the big difference is in these approaches?

The answer is TIME!

If you can't afford to buy a spy tool for 1 month, your testbudget is probably to low anyway.

Sure you can do manual spying but it's VERY time consuming and tedious. (Especially if you want to log how long certain campaigns are running)

Remember: you can always make more MONEY, but you can never make more TIME! :) When it's gone it will never come back.

Money comes and goes and if you do it right (invest it wisely) it will grow AND creates more freedom and TIME for you and your family.

Again, it's your choice, but I've done all 3 options and I wish I started with the spy tool from day 1.

Thanks for this comprehensive guide mate.
I have bad memories from the past when I tried pop-up traffic and it totally drained out my credit with no ROI.
Anyway, I would love to retry and learn more before I do that.
Thanks again
