Medium or Wordpress blog ?

Hello everyone, and thanks for the one who will nanswer me

Here my "problem", i'm looking to have a blog, make article for a cryptocurrency, so creating content and much more. My only question is should i use Medium, will google index my post ? Let's say i redirect my medium : to blog.domain.com , it will increasing my keyword ranking for my website or no at all ?

You should do your blog in WordPress. In Medium you can't change the theme, install plugin (plugin for SEO), etc.

Yes, google will index your post. Make a good article on medium and link it to your website. If you keep doing this and doing SEO to your website, your traffic will increase.

No medium will not index your blog. They block Google index spider.
No idea if you can redirect medium.
I would suggest use WordPress.org and not wordpress.com for blogging. And don't waste your time on medium.

I would prefer WordPress. Because it gives more options to design your content and you can add additional features you want.

Wordpress.

You can use medium for a backlink if you want, but Wordpress has options to customize that medium just doesn't have.

- On-Page SEO.
- Page speed/cache.
- Custom Js/CSS.

Don't use Medium. You don't own the platform and you might lose your site if they decide to shut you down.

Go with self-hosted WordPress or Ghost.

Depends on your future plans. Although WP started out as a blog platform it has evolved into so much more. If you build a WP blog you own all the content etc. Medium is purely a blog platform, you do not own the content.

medium adds noindex and nofollow to your posts, so if your goal is to get traffic from google then wordpress is the way to go.

If you don't want google traffic medium is probably better because it saves you hosting and domain costs. So, it depends on what you want, really...

Yes, google will index your post. Make a good article on medium and link it to your website. If you keep doing this and doing SEO to your website, your traffic will increase.

yeah, both are good topics to start and, at the same time you focus on the content quality and don't use any duplicate content because there is lot of competition for the crypto Niche so you have to focus on that
