June 28, 2021 - The Updated Marketplace Rules Can Be Found Here: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/the-black-hat-world-marketplace-rules.1295700/

Guidelines for Posting and Receiving Approval for Your Marketplace Thread:
  1. You must have Jr. VIP or Marketplace Seller status.
  2. You must be free from bans and infractions (subject to moderator approval).
  3. Your product/service must comply with all BHW rules, including but not limited to, no forums, no coaching, no illegal services. Check the rules before deciding on a thread.
  4. Your thread should include clear pricing, contact details and refund policies.
  5. Your product and service must be of quality and priced reasonably. BHW staff will be the sole arbiters of this.
  6. Anyone who is controlling or perceived to be controlling a marketplace thread / working on a JV with you must have the required Jr. VIP status to do so.
  7. There is an annual fee to maintain your marketplace thread, you will be notified via pm when this is due.
  8. Unrelated services may not be bundled and will be rejected at mods discretion.
  9. To ensure continuity and quality, the service provided in the thread must belong to you, we don't allow resellers or affiliate links - see Affiliate Links under Terms.
  10. Each product listed must be unique you may not post the same product multiple times.
How To Submit A BHW Marketplace Thread
If the above applies please complete the next set of steps:
  1. Chose the Marketplace section that describes your service and create your thread. Images will be held on a third party server, imgur.com or imageshack.us. We have done this in order to speed up the forum, improve page loads and avoid unapproved changes to threads.
  2. Once you have created your thread, it will go into a moderation queue. You will receive a pm with a link to manage the approval process which will then be picked up by a BHW mod. Make sure your thread is a final edit. Once your thread has been approved, changes can be made by contacting Support here. The cost for this will be $30.
  3. You are no longer required to send a PM to a MOD stating you have listed a sales thread. You will be contacted by them when they are ready to review your sales thread. This will normally be within 5-10 working days.
  4. Upon receiving review details from the reviewing moderator, you must respond to the review thread with an order confirmation within one week so that we know you're actively working on delivering your product or service. If we do not receive an order confirmation in this time frame, your thread will be rejected.
  5. A Moderator will then review your service, you must provide the top level package or service described in your thread. If you are unable to provide this your thread won't be approved. It's important to note that a marketplace review is meant to assess your ability to deliver your top-level package and your performance in customer service. A marketplace moderator is meant to be treated as a customer, therefore failure to provide a decent customer service experience (i.e., arguing with the moderator, tu quoque, or mod abuse) or your final product as it is advertised will result in a thread rejection.
  6. Wait patiently to hear back from the staff regarding your sales thread, use the thread to respond to the mod within the review process, If your thread is approved you will be pm'd and asked to pay a $30* listing fee. NOTE the live thread will be cleared of all previous messages from the review process and set live on the marketplace forum you created. *this will be renewed annually - you will be pm'd 7 days before this renewal is due.
  7. Do not try to jump the queue for Marketplace approvals. PM titles such as 'REPLY ASAP!!!!', 'URGENT URGENT URGENT', or anything similar will not gain you favor with the staff. Similarly, sending multiple messages or spamming Skype will only give a negative impression of your professionalism and your thread maybe removed. PLEASE don't do it!
  8. Further questions on how to submit a thread or marketplace questions visit our Black Hat World support section.

Thread Bumping Guidelines

Essentially, sellers cannot promote their sales threads with promotional more than once every 72 hours. Here are the rules on bumping your sales thread:
Bumping clarified

1. You can respond to any of your customer queries as often as you'd like and even post updates to your sales thread regarding any service updates or the like. Our marketplace bumping system means that any post you make within a 24-hour window will not appear on the homepage aka "bump" your sales thread, but will appear in your thread. This allows you to engage with customers and potential buyers in your sales thread whilst also observing the BHW marketplace bumping rules. This is an update for October 2020 and now part of the core marketplace functionality.

2. You cannot promote your sales thread more than once every 72 hours with promotions, coupons, advertisements, CTAs, or anything else that is not a response to a customer or an update regarding your sales thread. This includes putting an advert, coupon or CTA underneath your response to a question or responding to order confirmations.

3. Our usual rules for post count inflation apply to sales threads as well. Do not respond to posts with a simple "Thank you", as you can use the
React button for this. You also should not double post by responding to individual order confirmations, but instead group the responses together in one post using the multi-quote feature.

Why Was My Marketplace Thread Denied?

Having a Marketplace thread is a privilege, not a right, staff are under no obligation to approve any thread and will reject if your service doesn't match the detail of what you're listing.

Useful Advice

Many of the marketplace moderators are available on BHW support, should you need to discuss your services thread or its status, ask here. Be courteous though, as pestering the staff will result in your application being denied.

Don't post if you are not a buyer.

It's simple, if you have never used a service you can't comment on how it works / how effective it is. We ask all thread creators to report any unreasonable posts to a mod where they will be reviewed. If you are found to be using this service unreasonably you will be banned.

Don't request trials/review copies.

The OP will post the number of review/trial copies they are willing to give away, if any, and will provide the criteria they require to get a review/trial copy (often these are only for Jr. VIP accounts).

Avoid being Scammed online.

All of the staff hate to see members getting scammed and shit list threads being opened. We all work very hard to protect members, deleting 100's of threads a day, and taking lots of time and care on sales/services threads that we allow through. We can only do so much to protect members though, so here are some really simple pointers to help you avoid being scammed.

Disclosure of Compensated Review Copies

Updated 11/12/12 - Going forward BHW will require the disclosure of compensated buyer reviews. This is to include both free and discounted review copies of products and/or services. If you are exchanging services for reviews please be sure to make a short disclosure statement in the review text. Example - "I was given a free review copy in exchange for this review", or "I was offered a discount in exchange for my feedback here".
  1. If a user doesn't have a sales thread approved by a moderator - don't buy. Report the thread.
  2. Don't buy from anyone who started off by saying 'PM me for details', there is a reason they don't want to make their details public.
  3. If something seems too good to be true - it is.
  4. Exercise extreme caution when clicking on signature links where the poster doesn't have an approved Marketplace service.
  5. Always make sure your payment method can be reversed if the service/product provider flakes. Don't send as a PayPal personal payment, don't western union.
  6. Document and store ALL communications, including chat/IM logs
  7. Always Google for the sellers e-mail address and any other information, they may have scammed other forums.
  8. Stay away from threads/pm's/signatures that promote networks, perform searches and due diligence before working with any network.
  9. Check sellers other posts and threads, checking if others have complained, and how previous customers have rated and reviewed them.
  10. Even if the user has an approved Marketplace thread, ensure that you check them out fully, sellers can provide excellent review copies and then become flaky.
  11. Always get full contact information - don't do your business via PM. It's too easy for internet users to drop off the board when things go pear-shaped.
  12. Be VERY paranoid regarding drop shipping, double check all of the above points when considering a product seller.
  13. Avoid any JV's where the users require you pay before you receive your own payment. Consider the value of your own accounts, and the legality, and tax implications of letting someone send traffic to your accounts.
  14. Just because someone has status, a high post count, or a good reputation, does not guarantee that they will not turn rogue or resort to desperate measures, apply the above regardless of status on BHW.
  15. Freebies and giveaways relating to marketplace threads can be run in exceptional circumstances with Admin approval only. BHW will need to hold title to the items you're offering to give away. There will be a charge for this based on the value of the giveaway, min $250.

UPDATE: We are working on ways to speed up the approval process, so all posts are reviewed and tested faster. You need to provide a trial of your service before it will be approved. No exceptions! Once requested that trial must be provided within 1 week otherwise your thread maybe deleted.

Thread Edits
Thread edits ARE permitted, but there is a $30 charge.
You can choose to close your old thread and open up another one. If you chose to open another thread you will have to go through the review process again.

To edit one of your marketplace threads:
  1. Fill out the thread edit form here.
  2. Note that you're bound by the current Marketplace rules.
  3. Only contact support once using this form as contacting multiple times with "Plsszzz help nowww urgent!!!!11one" will just push you to the back of the queue.
Please note thread Edits are just that. ... Edits, minor changes or updates to your service. You can't thread edit the content to create a brand new service and keep all the reviews under the OP, that would clearly be unfair. If I'd written a review that stated "great service and great price" your price then increases from $50 to $500 that Service / price ratio may not be so "great"...... In this case we'd request that you create a new marketplace thread.
Examples of acceptable edits are "small price changes +/- 15% over a year" or updating the links for landing pages.

Please do not send money without us first producing an invoice for you.

You can, of course, use the Hot Deals Section for temporary sales.

Use of Page Rank
(updated July 4th 2016)

Google PageRank will no longer be accepted as a metric on link building within marketplace threads. Pagerank is no longer an effective metric to use when making a purchase decision for backlink packages and BHW has decided our marketplace needs to reflect this. We will no longer be allowing PageRank in BHW marketplace listings, as announced earlier this year,. Read more about the decision not to accept Googles PageRank as a metric on marketplace threads here.

New threads
(Updated 12 July 2018)

Marketplace Threads are currently being completed within our stated 5-10 day Turn Around Time and actioned with 48 hours, please note these times can only be achieved where there is timely responses from sellers.

Ownership of the Product or Service for Sale
(updated 5th May 2020)

In order to verify ownership of any marketplace services, we may ask for the OP to change and verify their BHW registered email address to one that matches the domain of the website they are selling from.

Hey Diamond,

I hope you are reading this. I want to ask something :

Can you please make the process of getting a thread approval faster somehow? I know people are waiting for months to get approved and that really kills the meaning of the BST section as it's supposed to bring us the latest products, not the few-months-at-least products.

Thanks in advance :) We love you
