Man I really hate people

I am getting to the point where i don't want to interact with anyone but my immediate family and friends.

You are way to soft on the human race, even my close friends and family annoy me. Don't listen to the silly hippies saying you should love everyone! The only balance I would add is to have empathy with others in real hardship and always be there to help them out - but apart from that hate away! I think any decent person can't help but despise a lot of what the human race does and even what we do ourselves as individuals ? none of us are perfect.

******** the world.

Look people are going to tell you i'm giving you bad advice here, but just start carving em up, everything you hate, that damn puppy barking needs to get it too...let me know if you need a chainsaw.

But seriously, people enjoy when they can piss you off, so if you want to piss them off in return just be a sweety.

Stop affiliate link spamming your chainsaws on all these threads were people are angry with the world!!!

Jokes :p

Well if your like me then "hate" is probably the wrong word for what your feeling. For me at least "annoyance" is a better description. Partly it comes from getting older (and I don't mean old-old, I've felt like that since at least my early thirties). You think about what your doing and try to have a little order in your life, and all those other people seem to mess it up.

How hard is it for the kid in the drive thru window to know he should put napkins in the bag with your food, or if you order a salad or chili you might need one of those spork things. Why do you need to tell them such basic things. If you order a large fries and ask for ketchup, do they really think that one of those tiny ketchup packs will be enough? Maybe a straw should probably be included for each drink ordered? How hard is it for them to think?

When your walking down the street and there's a group or 4 or 5 people taking up the whole sidewalk and they see you coming toward them, wouldn't the sensible thing be for them to bunch up together a little more to let you through? It's not like you can make yourself take up any less room. Same thing with large families in the grocery store, they'll look right at you and then not budge an inch. Again how hard is it for them to think?

When your on the freeway and there's an exit coming up, you put on your turn signal and then slow down a little to slide in behind the car in the next lane. What's the guy behind you thinking when he jumps into that spot so he can go around you, or the cars in the lane you need to get in bunching up so you won't crowd. (It's traffic damn it, not a queue at the lunch counter. No one's crowding, just let people in so they don't miss the exit. The Traffic Must Flow!!) Once again not a lot of thought going on there.

Why is it that the clerks at convenience stores always seem to be talking on their cellphones nowadays. Back when all we had was landlines there was a thing called phone etiquette. Now that everyone has a phone at there side 24/7 and phone etiquette is more important than ever, it no longer seems to exist at all. Personal phone calls while at work used to be considered unacceptable, for some reason people have the idea that since it's their own phone it's ok. Well it's not, the phone itself was never the issue, it's the time. Time is the issue, you're being paid to take care of business, not talk to your friends. How many times have you visited a friend, and the whole time your there they were on the phone talking with someone else? That's a pretty common occurance now, but a few years back it would have been considered extremely rude.

The problem is people get so self centered they don't want to think about anything but themselves anymore. When someone has the kind of thought process that makes them think about what they're doing, it makes it very irritating having to interact with people that don't. Unfortunately, the self-centered attitude I described above continues to get worse over time instead of better.

A lot of it has to do with etiquette. There was a time it was taught not only at home, but in our schools as well. Newspapers even had columns devoted to it. Books were written about it. That hasn't been the case for a while now, and so parents that never learned proper etiquette themselves are raising kids that have very little concept of it at all now. All they learn now is the concept of "what's in it for me".

I feel for ya tygrus. People can really be annoying, and a lot of times you just want to say screw it and not have anything to do with anyone. But we live in a world full of people, and if you want to enjoy all the benefits of our modern civilization, then you have to just buck up sometimes and let it all slide. All you can do is live by example, show consideration for other people and hopefully some people will notice how much better it is to put a little thought into what they're doing as well.

I wish you well,
GreyWolf

its a relief to know that im not the only one who feels this way :D Woldnt it be great to not have anything to do with anyone and just spend the rest of your life with some you love with no one else to bother you.

You made me laugh. I also hate the Jersey Shore & the other Pop "Culture" stuff you listed. Or pseudo culture really. LOL.

I don't know what causes this, sometimes I think we just live in a ruder and more self centered world and that gets to me.

Thats because its true. And its true because of the pop culture stuff you listed that you hate, as well as technology. We have become a narcissist society, just in the last 10 years there has been a significant rise.
I was pretty jaded about all of this too for a while, but I feel like I'm coming out of it now. Just realize that most people are operating on a near "retarded" level & they really dont know why they do what they do, think what they do, or have the opinions that they do.
Society, pop culture, & marketing/advertising messages teach the majority of people how to act, think, say, opinions.

I came to this conclusion after a somewhat spiritual/philosophical journey & learning about marketing/subliminal/subconcious/NLP stuff.

Just try to take a step back and just try to show people the errors in their ways. Ofcourse, with detachment to whether they hear what you are saying or not.

cannabis helps quite a bit. :canabis: You should try that out. And try to start having love for the people you hate. It becomes empowering over all the shit you hate.

I was going over some Carlos Castanada (modern day Shaman.) material the other day and his 4 'pillars' (he called them something different.)

One of them was dont take ANYTHING personal.

Hahahaha...That's great! i love my computers more then people. I hear you...

I hate hate. That's about it! I don't see how anyone can hate celebrities or people they don't know. That's just odd... SMDH... So much negativity!

I agree with Kate+8, never saw the Jersey Shore show... that would piss me off because I grew up there and really only hate my next door neighbor because she always complains I mow my lawn too early in the day and it bothers her... I tossed her off my property today just before she called me an asshole.

Sure mow my effing lawn in Florida at noon when the sun is RIGHT THERE!

Ar OP great post.. +2 Rep!

This is the start of social anxiety disorder lol
I think I might have that too. :cool2:
LOL

Yeah same here about close friends and family.
They're almost worse because you expect better from them. LOL.

And Grey Area Hat, you make good point about those hippies. Most of what I described above comes about from what they called "Me Generation" and that came about because of the "If it feels good, do it" attitude from the 1960's. There was a lot wrong with society in the 1950's and the cultural revolution in the 60s was for the most part a good thing. The civil rights movements were especially needed. But the revolutionaries threw out a lot of the good along with the bad, and a lot of the problems in our current society are a result of that.

I was a kid in the 60's and a lot of my outlook on life is based on that. (Hell I still have hair halfway down my back. LOL) But I also was raised with the values of an ordered society so I can see where we've lost a lot over the years. The level of technology we have today makes the lack of those values even more apparent. It's kind of sad because it could be so much better.

try exchanging the word 'hate' with 'love'; might make things look a little different!!
Oh give me a friggin' break! It won't make things look any different. that kind of thinking is pure bullshit.

I am feeling the same way lately. I think people are real assholes.

I'm especially fed up with the stupid ********s on Fiverr. I started using it a month ago and it was good because I made enough that it covered my hosting, domains, autoresponder costs, etc.

Lately, I just can't stand the idiots that use it. They order a Gig and start busting my balls because I ttok an hour to deliver the Gig when i had two days to meet the deadline.

what's worse, 70% or more of the Gigs I buy go completely unanswered and I have to get my money back. Why the ******** put up a Gig if you aren't going to deliver it when someone orders?

Let's talk about the assholes who buy the digital products I sell and then wait 25 days and file a Paypal dispute saying they didn't like the product.

Then why did you wait 25 days if you didn't like it asshole?

Thankfully, I learned all you have to do is immediately escalate them to a claim and Paypal dismisses them in your favor.

However, now the freebie hunters are getting smart and claiming unauthorized charges and those are impossible to beat.

It's completely ridiculous.

People have turned into asswipes with absolutely no conscience and scruples and nobody gives a shit about anybody else.

People just walk around like ********ing drones ignoring the fact that there is a war going on, the economy is crumbling and the environment is irreversable damaged.

Yu know what? People deserve whatever bad shit happens to them.

Get a life man. Your post is an obvious example of somebody who doesn't have the balls to take responsibility for his life. Blaming is easy. Sorry man but it's true.

You aren't getting me man. Because I am settled in my life and don't have to depend on other people anymore, I find I can't stand them and maybe never did. Its not a success thing, its simply seeing a lot of people for what they are. Not saying I am perfect or everyone else has to be, but I think common decency is already gone.

And greywolf, its not the fact the kid at the drive thru didn't give me a straw or something, its more the fact he doesn't know how to say hello and be basically friendly. I know its hard to care about a job like that but even in my darkest days in the cube farm I manged a friendly good morning and good night to most people.

Has making money made you cynical about life and relationships?

Not at all. Have a great wife, awesome family, 4 or 5 good friends, lots of interests I like, businesses I like running, decent health, not depressed at all. I just am finding people are getting on my nerves and I don't think I am imagining it.

I am getting to the point where i don't want to interact with anyone but my immediate family and friends. To me, just about everyone else is an insignificant asshole that I could less about.

I hate my freelancers, I hate my fiverr and ebay customers, I hate my neighbors, I hated my cubicle mates, I hated my bosses, I hate the guy in the car next to me, I hate the people at the mall, I hate the kid at the drive thru window. I hate the jerks on Jersey Shore, I hate Kate+8, I hate American Idol and dancing with the stars. I hate oprah and ellen and dr. phil. I hate google and facebook and twitter. The list is endless.

Maybe I have become jaded, but it just seems like everyone is a difficult person to get along with or is on an ego trip or trying shove something in my face. Maybe I should be looking for that log cabin in Montana.

End venting

This has to be one of the funniest thing I've ever read lmaoo.... the one thing I didn't get from you post was.. do u hate people? Lol jk.. I know what you mean, my saying is: PEOPLE SUCK! LOL...

It's true. customer service is in the shitter. You would think with ll of these big companies going under that they would try to please the customer, but they just don't give a shit.

The whole country has gone to shit if you ask me.

Don't get me wrong, I love this ountry and I fought for it in Iraq for 18 months.

However, I don't feel proud about my service because it was predicated on a lie.

We hurt a lot of innocent civilians over there and those people didn't do shit to us. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, and all of their WMD's were destroyed after the first Gulf war in the early 90's.

So what the ******** was it all about?

Still don't know what I did over there.

I`d post a solution to his problem here but I hate this guy already! :)
