    Dear fellow Blackhatters,

    Before I started visiting, and mainly lurking, from this forum, I created a Youtube Channel in which I post Dj mixes of a certain musical genre.
    Later on I discovered that almost everything I was posting contained 3rd party content. So it's not possible to monetize these videos.
    So I stopped uploading videos.
    But now, couple months later, the channel keeps getting more and more subs and views altough i'm not adding any new content.

    My questions to you are;
    Do you think I can make money out of this channel since it has a high traffic potential?
    Is it allowed to make money with these videos even though I don't own any of there rights (and Youtube knows this).
    Any suggestions for which kind of products i could affiliate apart from websites where you can buy music or websites where you can buy Dj equipment or websites where you can buy (festival) tickets? (It's an electronic dance music genre)

    I'd be really greatfull if you could point me in the good direction!

    Thanks a lot in advance

    I doubt you would get into much trouble if you were promoting an affiliate product on your channel unless somebody went out of their way to report you. It's worth a try anyway the very worst that will happen is you'll get a warning but I doubt even that would happen. Try affiliating with a dance magazine like MixMag or MusicTechMag :) Drop them an email and see if they have any affiliate opportunities :)

    Good luck bro!

    What I was also wondering about;Do you think people would actually click on the link in the description of the video if it doesnt link to a website where they can buy the mix/song they're listening to?

    Look into Pay Per Download. Find something that you think your audience will want to download. Join Cleanfiles and upload it there. Then post the link to the file on Cleanfiles under your Youtube video. Your viewers will have to fill out a survey before downloading the file, and you get paid each time they do it.
