Making a living with youtube?

I heard technology channels are a good bet and pay more than other categories. A review video for inexpensive bluetooth speakers for example could bring in decent traffic.

I had a video with buzzing sound of hp laptop worth 30 sec and it got me 4-5 dollars in 3 months even though its view time is low you are quite right on this one, reviews and unboxing pc products has bigger CPM's and also they are always in the google trends too.
 
Be crazy, upload hot videos, bank the money. That's for girls.

Be Stupid, Make pranks, bank the money. That's for boys.

I have seen many people who make ordinary videos just spam like 300+ original content videos on there channel this enables them to receive +1000 views per day as a total which gets them lucrative partnership with youtube networks with 95% share i think thats one way. Other way is find the popular Niche like how to earn more views on youtube and make a quality short to the point video about that keeping in store value for your viewers this will boost views and subscribers for future viewing.
I am always looking to find tips for youtube and i think the best legit one i found was using the unfollowers website for getting views via twitter. On the blackhatseo forums i found there are upvoting groups for reddit i am so planning to join it!

If you want to make quick bucks using YouTube, you can always do PPD. Almost no starting capital, easy, but pretty boring.
 
I am new to this gig, really looking for a niche to invest in for my youtube channel.. confused :S
 
Talking about niches, i was looking up on google trends for youtube and i noticed that almost 50 percent of the top 25 were main stream videos which didnt give me a proper idea of which trends i should follow i am looking for a trends tool for youtube.
 
Technically I was last year, but the update really hurt my youtube earnings. I would avoid going all in on youtube now as they are actively fighting SEO efforts since the big update.
 
What method is easier for making money on YT? PPD vs Adsense?

You can make good money with adsense if you just are lucky to post videos which are famous and dont get you id match may be there is a spun video software which tricks youtube i am looking for it too, i guess thats the only method i can come up with, i am making like 10 dollars a month from youtube by posting an already uploaded video and i didnt get any content id match the video hasnt flagged, while my original videos dont get any payments even when they are orignal and monetized as well thats really dishearting for me, may be main stream stuff is one of the easier thing to get views sadly :(
 
I making only about 5-10$ per month on my youtube channel. I'm getting frustrated more and more about it. Didn't get any money yet, because my channel still did not get the minimum amount of money for withdrawals.
My channel is 3 month old, has 30 videos, 1000 subscribers and 53000 views.
 
Okay I've been in the Youtube community for a while now, and yes you can make a living off of Youtube. There's PLENTY of people who do. The trick is to build your audience. Don't waste your time trying to be the first person to post something in a niche, that leads to unstable money. The trick is to build an audience around something you like to do (Comedy,Music, Beauty, DIY, Tech Etc....). Then Once you have done that and you have built your brand you can make money off of your Views because you have a loyal fan-base. And because you have a loyal fan-base, when you want to lets say sell a T-Shirt to your fans they will be quick to buy it if you have it available for a Limited time. With the right amount of subscribers this will put THOUSANDS in your pocket every time you advertise a shirt just don't do it too often (Once every 3 to 4 month, and START SAVING). Just because you made $10,000 in shirt sales doesn't mean go ahead and spend all of it. Meanwhile continue to put out great content and your audience will continue to grow allowing you to make even more from your views. Hope you enjoyed :o
 
There are plenty of videos ways to make money from youtube website. Follow some guidelines to have maintain those channels as they will help to make a lot of money for you.
 
I did alot of research and i noticed that the children niche give very easy money, the children always click on ads and retention views are some what high as well, will try to see educational cartoons in creative commons and make a channel and lets see if i bring in some bacon
 
Interesting discussion, but I got a little off topic question: Can you say a few words about Dailymotion, what is the situation there, is there any way to make money from it ?
