So is anybody here making a living with only/mostly youtube? :)

If you are, then can you tell here little bit how you're doing it

If you have a channel with at least 300 views a day, I work for a Youtube ad network. They pay $20 for every thousand views and you keep 90% of revenue. PM if interested.

BHABAHBAWHABAHAA HAHAHA 20$ for 1k views OK M8 wtf? isnt it $2?

One of my channels earn around 50-100 USD each month without uploading any new videos for about 2 years :D

20 USD for 1k views? That is way too much....

Considering the top networks in the world only dish out around $5/1k, I seriously doubt $20/1k is even possible.

Maybe if you're PewDiePie level, since advertisers will be actively bidding to get ads on your channel.

Remorse I am havin a youtube channel having around 300+ views daily...Help Me i Am a jobless...

Whats a good start to making a living with youtube &what kind of content to upload?

How much you people earn with youtube ads? If PPD and stuuf like that doesnt count

Find a niche with a low saturation of quality content and a high saturation of viewership, make quality content, and promote your work like you would a website.

It's extremely difficult to make a living off of YouTube at this point due to the sheer amount of content uploaded daily, you have to be something special, and have advanced knowledge of web promotion.

Typically about $1.50-$2.50 per 1k views. It depends on how heavily you promote outside of YouTube as many platforms can't be monetized.

YouTube works on a revenue share basis, meaning you start out at around 40/60 cut with YouTube itself, and work up to 60/40 with a large channel.

If you want to monetize it with ads just sign a contract with a good network, I would recommend FreedomMCN, Forela and CreativeNation. But stay away from networks such as Machinima they take like 60% themselfs.

Well, I own a network with $4-$12 per monetized views, all depends on country of course. But $20 is not realistic.

Wow, you work directly with advertisers I take it? Curse and Fullscreen are only averaging like $2-$3/k.

Yes it is $20 for 1k USA views, at $22 for every 1k AUS views. They give 90% of all revenue to channel owners.

I get something lie 3-4K views a day to a video of mine. It's all about making high quality / viral stuffs ( atleast for me). If you do, wait for sometime and you will rank yourself. Nothing fancy... no fake views...nothing...

outside of viral 1 in a million videos how are people getting decent pageviews? also i thought if you uploaded into youtube you had to use their ad network?

you can try singing and dancing if you want to make money out of youtube EASILY.

make a family life channel. I saw a lot of youtubers live on filming their personal life out there, quite crazy.

Yeah my friend is making pretty good money with his channel.

He just creates high quality videos which are "SEO'd" for niche keywords then kicks people to a squeeze page. He has like 14k subscribers or so and sells information products. Honestly I think if you know the SEO there are some great opportunities in a lot of niches selling physical products. Some of those girls selling hair extensions must be making bank!
