Making 500-600$ a day with 22000 unique visitors

One of my friend is having 40000 pageviews daily or 22k unique visitors daily with adsense on it.

He is making 600$ a day with adsense on it! Is it enough for the pageviews or can he get higher with it?

He can't promote CPA as the site isn't optimized for it. The traffic is from Tier -1 countries and CPC is usually 0.2$ or slightly higher.

I think it could have been better with any other ads placement. Currently he has ads on above and below of buttons.

What is the CTR? The RPM? Which niche is it?

Anyway, these are great results. I don't think he can get more earnings than that unless his CTR is low so he can change the ad placement, the theme...

CTR is around 4.2% and RPM is 11.2$
Can changing the theme affect SEO?
 
Try media.net its yahoo bing network, just paste the some ads with adsense and double your revenue.
 
Haven't really ventured in adsense much, but worked on a few projects around 2 - 3 years ago. If you don't already have, try testing native ads like Taboola, Revcontent, etc.. to boost revenue.

As far as existing ads, you could sign up with multiple networks and have them (including Adsense) compete for ad placements with "header bidding". I'm not an expert in that field, but you could read more about it here https://blog.ezoic.com/best-google-adsense-alternatives-2018/

can you expand on that? why do you say that yahoo/bing network will earn u more than adsense?
 
Adsense earnings look great.
Add affiliate products throughout the site and he'll earn extra money each day.

It is really good numbers... don't make many changes or they revenue can drop
 
I would say he is doing fine but you can try some DSP like Ezoic and Mediavine to see if there is any change in earnings ... (you can slip test in order to see the difference) I think ezoic offers that
 
Hmmm, every time when I see situations like this, I would understand why the hell an A/B test is so important....
 
your friend should be looking to keep that revenue stable for a year or two and in that time be formulating an exit strategy. A site that earns $15000 a month should be able to fetch half a mill or up to a mill, depending on niche and how easy a "sell" it is to a new owner.
 
Isn't that like god tier for adsense? 11.2 CPM? Isn't average CPM like closer to $3-$5?

In terms of making more money it does seem your traffic is highly interested in purchasing items, try creating your own product or sticking relevant affiliate products on a page and test to see what the returns you get.

Of course, he should use a theme that is very quick to load. That's for seo.
For CTR there is some theme such as bimber and newspaper that can get higher CTR.

ppc or ppv will not work well.
you can monetize the site with good affiliate programs related to the niche of your website.
A single sale can end up from $100 to $900. With 40000 visitors, you can make good income
I make affiliate income with health and fitness devices, that fetch $150 to $2000 per sale. and some adult programs.
