Hello BHW!
I am looking to hire a talented video editor. I am fine if you have less experience, as long as you can produce something that looks of high quality and doesn't have an amateurish vibe - and are willing to improve over time.
The videos are mostly for YouTube channels of various sizes and various topics. I want someone who can work with both video and sound.
The typical work process will be:
- adding text assets
- adding transitions
- adding b-rolls (I would provide you with subscriptions)
- adding some basic animations (you can of course use plugins)
- adding sound effects and music (again, can provide or help you with subscriptions to services that do so)
You should:
- be able to work in Premiere+After Effects, or Final Cut Pro X.
- be from a tier2/3 country
- have good written English so that you don't do grammar mistakes, or have the ability to grammar-check the text you would put into videos
- be available at least 3 days a week and do a turn-around in 48 hours (the videos themselves will always take under 8 hours to finish)
- have OK internet speed and know how to use google drive/dropbox
- be reliable and active in communication!!!
About the work:
- you will be paid hourly, with money equal to the amount of hours worked
- if you are sick/can't work/go on a vacation it's okay, I will find a substitute. Or you can find a substitute for you and keep the money, but it has to be the similar quality of the edit
- the work is flexible - you can work whenever you want as long as you hit the deadlines
- there will most likely be revisions, meaning after the first render, a list of changes will come - I expect the second render to be final without the need of a third one
I am willing to help you improve and get a better flow, as well as advise you on good free plugins/presets for Adobe software that will help you a lot with special effects and animations.
I could get you started within a couple of weeks, so if you feel like you will be ready by that time, feel free to apply anyway.
