    But all hosts will have some form of package that allows SSL. All you need is a dedicated IP and the SSL cert. You can get a geotrust cert for $50 from http://www.rapidssl.com/
    There is no* difference between a $50 cert and the $250 ones.

    Buy a domain from namecheap, you'll get a ssl certificate (when buying a domain) for only 1.99 which costs about 10$. Then get a dedicate from your shared hosting provider.

    You can also use a VPS for that cheap domain + SSL cert combo. Just choose a reliable provider, and off you go.
