Oh what happened to the 500 word article? The days when you could just bang out 500 words and fly high in the search engines. Those were the days. But hey, times have changed and it's a known fact that Google now prefers long-form content. It's the thing now and everybody's doing it! It's not uncommon these days to see the average article or blog post ranging from 1000 to 3000 words or more. This type of writing only used to be reserved for sales pages.
