    Hi all,

This journal will document my progress (or lack of) with selling clickbank products - in a way carrying on from Leith's 5 day case study of which I send my thanks. Some posts on BHW have inspired me to stop procrastinating and pull my finger out from where the sun doesn't shine. I hope this journal will serve a few purposes, including inspiring others to do the same, invoke the sharing of ideas and give me the responsibility to keep going!

Let's face it, when you're just starting out down the IM road with no guarantee of success, the administration required to make money from the net is painful. Writing articles, researching methods and niches, making videos blah blah blah...

A bit about me. I'm 30 years old trapped in a 9-5, with a couple of extra mouths to feed. My childhood dream of being an office type manager or DJ has been crushed by the reality of the depressed managers I have encountered and the struggling yet sexy female DJ's playing in big London clubs.

Time to crack on. The following picture is a spreadsheet I made with open office to record my clickbank results:

(To be added once I have enough money to donate to BHW or enough posts)

Now armed with market samurai, the free blog commentator and a free web 2.0 posting software, I will continue to update this thread until a clickbank product is sold!

    DAY 1

I have selected 1 clickbank product from each category making 25 in total. From other posts on BHW, my understanding is that products with the highest gravity are selling well but will also have the most competition. The products I have selected have therefore got a gravity of around 20. They are also inclined to be about something I know at least a bit about to make producing media easier and have attractive landing pages. Each product has been added to the spreadsheet above. I have written 1 article on the first product, and used this as a template for 3 more. The first article has been submitted to articlebase and 20 web 2.0 pages using the keyword of the product name, with a single bitly link at the bottom attached to the keyword.

Using an article search in Market Samurai, I note within 5 hours my article has been plagarised! Also my bitly link has been destroyed! :( I researched methods to prevent this happening on BHW and replaced the bitly link in the first article with a PHP redirect via a private domain.

    DAY 2

Some mixed progress to report, and the more time I spend doing this the more I realise the more time it will take to get results! Software takes long enough to learn let alone writing articles, but should save time in the long run...

5 articles submitted to article base

4 were approved, but then a few hours later 2 of the 4 were rejected with the following reasons:

    • Broken link
    • Direct affiliate link

So I checked, fixed the links (they were both broken, my errors) and resubmitted. 5 minutes later they were both approved. 1 hour later they were both rejected again due to "Direct affiliate link". Hmmmmm. Sure I read on the forum that articlebase do not mind affiliate links in the article, and after 15 approvals they get auto-approved... Anyway, that's 2 out of 5 articles approved with direct affiliate links on articlebase with one still being reviewed for some reason. Guess it depends on who reviews...

    VPS

When I first started reading this forum, all the terminology escaped me and I presumed a VPS was for advanced users. Recently whilst looking for free/cheap submitting bots to play with I came across VPS's with blackhat software pre-installed from $30-$100 monthly. Wow, what a saving! I went for a $50 dollar package and spent most of the day fighting with AMR.

Out of the 2000 Article directories listed on AMR, I managed to submit to 1. Is this normal? I checked around and decided to upload a list of directories which were recommended. Out of another 2000 recommend directories, I doubled my result - 2 directories submitted to . I followed advice such as using unusual names, 500+word article, no links in the main body, private domain email address, all fields completed but to no avail. Think I'll come back to this...

Next I watched tutorials on youtube and started playing with scrapebox with great success: 800 keywords scraped to produce 90000K links on the niche of a clickbank product, which are being sorted for decent blogs as I type. I intend to blast them with friendly comments with a link to one of my approved articles and see what happens...

Whilst Sbox is running, I'm going to start making videos using the articles I wrote and random related pictures...

    DAY 3

The benefits of catching man flu include more time for IM or in this case playing with bots. I've been off work and up till the early hours on the laptop going with the flow. It's been painful but somewhat rewarding, fighting with new software and learning new tricks. Some progress to report:

    • Over 100 clickbank hops for first product
    • Youtube video hit first page for first product
    • Main keyword #1 on google for youtube video on first first product
    • 14 videos added for second product

    Scrapebox

After blasting blogs with comments using a 90K URL list made with 90 keywords, I thought why not scale up, so with 900 keywords I started scraping. 4 hours later I hit 150K URL's but lost connections to yahoo and bing so called it a day. It seems that more keywords does not mean proportionally more URL's (or perhaps unless you have a faster computer?) They are still being sorted for pagerank and blogability...

    Mass Video Blaster

White Passion's thread convinced me to give it a go, and for $30 for the first month why not? It is genuinely the easiest piece of IM software I've used so far, with scrapebox close behind. Download, change text, upload. Done. Had some trouble uploading to accounts, but think you have to create a channel first for it to work on youtube.

The first video is a direct review of the first product, added to youtube with ranking movement very fast, from second page to first in hours. Just uploaded 12 related but non review videos on the second product, no views yet...

    Vagex

Instant views, likes, subscribers, comments for your youtube videos - this surely played a part in my youtube ranking for product #1. I bought 1K views for $1 and my strongest competitor has only 18K views so this looks promising...

    Microworkers

One of my old favourites, also good for getting banned from adsense. This time I routed my micro army through a php redirect so no chance of their origin being found out. I ordered 30 likes for my video and article for product #1, so nothing dramatic but looking forward to seeing their progress. I used a high rated group of workers; from my experience random workers give random results!

    SENUKEx

What is all the fuss about with the full monty template? It's advertised strongly on fiverr, so I gave it a bash and was very impressed! It makes building a link network very straight forward with RSS, Indexing and Pinging thrown in.

Collected about 500 high PR links to both the youtube video and article for product #1. I think you need many different articles for the full monty to work best; although spun, my single article appeared about 8 times in each blog  Also glad to say that SENUKEx on the VPS has not crashed unlike on my laptop.

    Tweet Attack

Seems quite simple to use but got my first account banned in a half a day. Guess you have to be careful with the timing i.e. adding 100 followers one after another gets you banned (just a 7 day sin bin in facebook).

    Xrumer

    Had a look, got confused.

    The best spinner

Looks good but still to get it working...

    AMR

Still not submitting to directories, I'll keep at it today...

    Clickbank sales = 0

Hi friend thanks for your questions. I haven't yet installed google analytics to the relevant pages on my hosted website, just going by clickbank analytics:

    Article:20
    Video:43
    Not set:39

The landing page is blank but the redirect script makes sure they never see it, so basically they go straight from youtube or the article site direct to the offers...

    DAY 4

Man flu has started to fade away so I'm back to work albeit with a sore nose and sniffles. It was kinda refreshing to be back after the pain of fighting with IM bots, especially after the following bad news.

Youtube has slaughtered ALL my videos, even though I used different accounts with different IP's, links and keywords. Not entirely sure yet how this happened since other user's copied vids are still there...

So it's back to the articles and new methods. I finally got some success with AMR - another 20 article sites have been submitted to with a spun version of my first article including a link to my first clickbank product.

Using scrapebox I have submitted 2000 spun blog comments with links to my first article (300 of which to auto approve blogs), but when checking their existence only 100 are confirmed. Not sure what this means, but either way the quality of the blogs is horrid with 100's of poorly spun comments, so I doubt anyone will be reading these! Perhaps some of the backlinks are good for SEO though...

After doing some more BHW reading, going forwards I will incorporate some of the following:

    1. Learning copy writing to improve the quality of my articles
    2. Making good quality landing pages to drive traffic to through SEO
    3. More manual work as opposed to bot work keeping in mind content is king.

    Total clickbank sales = 0
