Lessoned learned from expired domain

I have no idea how it got to 5100$ :weep:
A joke right lol! I was using this domain for PPC and sometimes I had articles written that did rank. Namecheap telling me to buy back is silly. In your opinion should I buy an expired domain or just buy a new domain and hosting? I was just planning to rank low comp. keywords until I get back on track. I don't even know if Blogspot (free) ranks anymore. The good thing is I have over 80K email customers over the years and I could send them emails. What would you do?

You had 1 domain and you forgot, what if you had 50? Anyways, lesson learned. However, never deal with godaddy, they are crooks. They bought your domain and want to sell it to you for $5,100. Not that the domain is worth that money.
It could worth even more than that tho, it all depends on the history

In your opinion where should I buy it? I don't want to go too crazy with spending. I just want to write low keyword comp. articles and hopefully, they rank and promote via PPC. What kind of stats should I look for? Again, not too crazy money. Should I go with with different hosting than Namecheap? Thank you

Same Question I am asking

I really need to have things figured out to avoid waste of this little resources I have

You mean Namecheap is worst than Godaddy?
I used Godaddy about 10 years ago. I wouldn't recommend them. They just have a lot of $$$ to advertise. Hence, why people buy. I received an email that they were switching email services, and it would cost a crazy amount when I used them... I left for Namecheap. Don't go by what I have to say about Namecheap, they have been good. However, maybe it's my fault for not renewing my domain. I just don't like their policies with domain renewals.

Can you suggest platforms to get quality expired domain that is good for PBNs

What a sad story. GoDaddy is known for these kinds of tactics, but after checking the article, it seems to be your fault.

I forgot to renew my domain because I was so frustrated Shopify shut my store down. It's a long story. I was supposed to renew at the end of June and dumb me thought it was on auto-renewal. I tried to log in to my hosting and it wouldn't allow me so I reached support. They finally got me in and I saw the domain. in my account that expired in 2025. I was so happy. However, they told me it is selling in an auction for $5,100!

I was so depressed and feeling dumb that I never renewed my domain for only $10. Guys, please have it on auto-renewal.
Hello, AdMunchkin. Yes, automatic renewal is important because it can prevent domain names from being preempted due to forgetting to renew. Especially for some valuable or brand-related domain names, automatic renewal can ensure that they are always yours, avoiding unnecessary trouble and loss.

I always put all domains on auto renew no matter what. Worst case is you waste a little money on a domain you don't care about anymore.
