im starting a cpa driven site and plan on using videos as incentives for users to complete. but it is completely legal for me to embed movies, tv shows, etc. into the blog? i dont think i'm breaking any copyright laws, since im not actually COPYING the videos onto my site.

maybe im wrong?

Not really clear as to what exactly your doing....

Movies, TV shows, and anything else made by anyone other than you would fall under copyright laws... Don't host the videos on your site, and the worst they can do is get your videos taken down... Copyright doesnt really have anything to do with the word COPY.

thanks, i just plan to use the embed code from the host site and place it on my blog, if that makes things more clear.

Yes, your breaking copyright laws, but they have to go after the host of the videos before you (usually)...

If you're only embedding it they can't do anything to you, since it's not being hosted with you. They'd only go after the person hosting it.

The very worst that will happen is you will get a cease and desist letter.
