Hey guys I'm a newbie here lol (go ahead and give me sh*t ;P)

Anyways, I was reading a thread about learning how to do coding to create bots. I'm really interested in learning for myself because I'm tied of having to pay for a bot that stops working a short time later. If anyone could give me some pointers, it would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

So, what are you waiting for? Pop open stackoverflow and Pyscripter or Visual Studio and get to work.

Honestly, I have no idea where to even start. Ive been a (mostly unsuccessful) marketer for the last year, probably only made 1k in residual, so I've been using bots for facebook & IG for awhile now. But I have not the slightest clue on how I would get started.

What exactly would I need to learn in order to start coding? That would have been a better question. Can anyone point me towards something I can read or anything?

"Our products are designed for SEO experts working in various spheres of search engine optimization and can be utilized immediately by those with a basic programming understanding and is essential for any professional programmers' repertoire"

I am neither an SEO expert nor do I have basic programming skills lol. What would I need to learn to start using the software, to start programming. I know I'm being a pest and I apologize, but without asking questions one can't obtain answers. Thanks for your patience guys

Just look demo! =) You can make bots almost in drag-and-drop style. Ofcouse if you learn C# for example your results would be better.

    How to start?

Ok, put a sample project in mind. " I need a bot which will save the source of a website to a text file and save it in my pc."

Lets say you are using Vb.NET / Visual Designer. Get the design ready by drag and drop. You will have a text box and submit button. Search "how to read text box into a variable.". next "How to get contents of a url in Vb.net". " How to save contents of a variable into a text file".

Thats the approach that helped me learn PHP. I am now learning Vb.Net for botting.

    Good Luck mate.

Hello brother. I am a bot coder, and I will tell you. It has taken me 5 years to even begin coding quality bots. Sure my first three months I made bots and I made money with them, but now I sell my tools professionally on freelancer sites. If you want to learn how to code, then start now. It will take you years to get good. Before you flame me.. anyone can copy past code found on google and create a working bot. What I mean as a good programmer is knowing enough about your programming language of choice to create new amazing code without copy/paste. There are a million script kiddie tools out there. Don't make anymore of those please.

If you are lazy like me and never took the time to learn a proper programming language, Ubot Studio is a good software for small bots. However, it may be unstable if you add too many functions. It's based on C# and Awesomium.

Thanks for all the replies, you guys are seriously awesome. I know it will take quite awhile to get good at it, but making money online is pretty much my only choice as my entire body was covered in tattoos before I was 19 ;P That's the reason I've been trying to make money online. Just like how the light bulb was invented, it took Edison 1,999 failures before he finally made it work. That's the way I am, I may fail 99% of the time but as I keep pushing and educating myself, I will make it work. So when we're talkin about programming language of choice, could you go in depth for me a little bit? I will dedicate however much time it takes to become good at this, all I know is I'm tired of promoting MLM with bots that only last for a couple weeks/month. I will definitely check out Ubot Studio but I would like to know more about the different programming languages as well. Like I said, you guys are awesome. Thanks for takin time out of your day to help out a noobie. ;)

To create good bots you must have deep knowledge of at least these subjects:
    - How internet works: HTTP
    - HTML/XML + DOM + XPath
    - Javascript
    - And most of all master the language you're creating the bots with (especially multithreading etc.)

I would suggest you start from the bottom by taking some online courses about the very basics of programming (it doesn't really matter which language the courses use if it's just some modern language, preferably object oriented). When you have some basic understanding of programming, then you can start experimenting by creating simple scrapers and bots and start learing the things I listed above.

Findillon, thank you so much. That was the response I was looking for in particular, I will definitely check out some courses and get a basic understanding and expand from there.

You might check Winautomation, it will get 50% of the work for you. Check it out and try it for a week or two.
