The situation of ads being “held” is a common problem, especially with new accounts or sensitive content. Here are some experiences to help fix it:
1. Optimize advertising accounts
Use a reputable Business Manager, fully verified information.
Create and use a high trust profile, work steadily before running ads.
Avoid creating ads as soon as the account is newly opened - let the account “warm up” for a few days.
2. Clear & compliant advertising content
Images and titles do not contain misleading content or violate policies.
The landing page needs to work well, load quickly and not contain prohibited content.
Don't insert too many emojis, don't use sensitive words like "weight loss", "income", "guarantee"...
3. Test in A/B or small CBO format
Run a small budget at first ($5 - $20), don't scale immediately after approval.
Avoid duplicate campaigns continuously - ads are easily scanned and held.
4. Use professional tracking methods
Connect Meta Pixel or CAPI properly to help Meta trust the traffic flow more.
Always keep the landing URL valid and clear, avoid strange redirects.
5. If it's still on hold, try:
Duplicate the ad with the same content and run it in a new campaign.
Slightly change the image, title and resubmit.
Wait 24-48 hours and check again - it may just be a delay in approval due to the system.
Note: Don't run too quickly, build trust gradually. Facebook increasingly prioritizes user experience, so the cleaner the account and content, the higher the chance of getting rid of hold.
