Do you think it's OK to use kids to promote stuff? I have seen a 5 year old and an 11 year old being offered to promote products and services in the form of video testimonials? I guess, if kids can promote shoes and clothes on TV commercials, then why not on fiverr.com?

The first time I saw the offers, I said to myself, wth? Underage kids? No way. What do you think? Legal, illegal, moral, immoral or just OK to use kids to make money online for themselves or their parents? I wouldn't use mine for that. Would you use yours?

I definitely wouldn't use my kids for it. You never know what sick perverts are on the internet and I for one don't like to have any pictures/videos of myself on the internet, and I wouldn't want my children doing videos for a possible freak.

Some people just don't think about reality, and reality is that the internet is a seedy place and you could be ruining your childrens future for $4.00. Not everyone wants to hire a "youtube superstar" for future careers.

I myself am still a kid, well teenager, 14 :) , but I've been doing IM for almost 2 and a half years :P and I believe that knowledge matters, not age, but for promotional stuff, I would recommend this kid if it's only for a "kid" site where you sell kids items n etc

No, just kidding, for me its pathetic actually.

They should kill the parents doing this and ban this FOREVER.
 
I think instead of banning, fiverr is featuring those kind of gigs.. lol
 
I totally disagree - The kid obviously wants a career in either advertising, movies, TV etc. This is a great way to get exposure and more importantly experience.

How is this exploitation?
 
Nothing wrong with using the kids for letting them make money.

With the depressing economy going on g l o b a l ly, kids would want to make quick bucks. At least, they won't bug their parents for more allowance money, at least. If they want to earn the money, power to them.

The problem is that most of this kids are not making money to themselves, but to their parents...

So kid for holding sign for 3 hours a day will get bubble gum :P
