Just Opened An Online Store And Need Traffic?

I recently just opened an online store www.viewapparel.com. I need traffic to get sales. I am looking to make some sales soon to keep up with the hosting. But I don't know how to get some free traffic as I don't have the money now to invest in paid traffic. I'm not a person that looks for a hand out usually but this has really bothered me and hopefully someone on here maybe able to help me or join with me. Thank You :) Also if you can rate my store or give it a review that would be cool.

You should put your add to cart button high up on each page. It's buried on the bottom. Also, you main keywords should be in the title tag of your homepage.
 
For traffic you're going to need to do it manually or pony up some cash.

"Free" traffic:
Organic results in SERPs
Adding products to Google Products
Offer products on Amazon
Sell on ebay and in the upsell put your website link
Pinterest
Craigslist

Paid traffic:
SEO to get high in the SERPs
Pinterest bot
Adwords
email blast (this may not work too well, depends on how the list was made)
per-site advertising



Getting something for free in the ecommerce world is usually really hard or you actually need to pay to see results. It's supposed to make you money and reinvesting to scale even more is how people do it... If you can't scale at the start, you're fighting an uphill battle.

As for the website itself... I'm not liking it. The logo is broken, the admin message is still on the front page, the front page is really cluttered and doesn't give the feel of "high quality", catalog page is cluttered and unorganized... Also, what is that massive white block on http://viewapparel.com/products/barbie-plait-pure-color-beaded-slim-fit-dress ?
The site is not ready for live use in my opinion. It needs to be refined a lot more.

Start working on SEO and rank for the keywords related to your niche.
 
For some quick but great traffic I would suggest you use Yahoo Answers, you can basically do anything there. Just need to make sure that it works out well enough.

Use social media to get some traffic. Pinterest, FB and Twitter would be a good source for you.
 
Just a quick side-note; I'm in this industry, and you've got some great lines there. But some suggestions are:
- Add in some more pages explaining your shipping process. It'll help slightly with SEO (as you'll look more legitemate) and increase conversions for the exact same reason.
- Go and buy a better logo. Not being mean; but it doesn't look like real quality. If it costs you $50 and improves your conversion ratio, it was worth it. If you see this as a long-term investment - then do it once, do it properly.
- Re-Do your categories. They're confusing, and aren't performing their one and only task - to make the site easier to navigate.

Don't take any of it personally bro, it has plenty of potential, just look at it from the eyes of a consumer.

Not meaning to sound harsh, but Zapdos is right and even though you've already made a few changes, this website is really not ready to make sales.

Right now it looks really unprofessional, just like a freshly installed free theme from 1999, and I won't dare to say what there would be to say about the "logo".

I understand that you don't have money to invest right now, but you can make it a lot better without spending much (if anything).

If you don't have the necessary skills to improve your theme, just get a more professional looking premade theme (I've just browsed a tiny bit on shopify, and I've seen at least one or two much better looking theme that were free)

And please do something about this awful logo, this alone will make your conversion rate drop by 130% (at least).

It doesn't have to be a professionnal designed high end $5k logo, but anything will look better than this. If you're not good at design, just get a nice looking font and keep it clean (get rid of this insulting 90's gradient, really).

I have to agree. You can make it way better for free. Try to build eshop with Opencart. It's a free ecommerce software and here on BHW you can find a lot of premium themes for free. It will make it look very professional and boost your conversion rapidly.
 
Seems you could use your Twitter for traffic. You have almost 12,000 followers, tweet some of your products on there and you will get traffic.
 
fiverr, mycheapjobs, mylikes are all good places to buy traffic for as little as $5
 
If you don't mind re-entering your products, I recommend WooCommerce (Free eCommerce plugin for WordPress) and one of the free WooThemes woocommerce themes. You can get a pretty nice store using those. If you don't know how to install it, go to fiverr and look up woocommerce... I'm sure you'll find someone who will do it for $5.

As far as logo, check out fiverr. Search for logo and sort by rating... get the highest rated person and ask them to make you a logo. Not free but still cheap.
 
Good luck with your ecommerce store. I was there many years ago. It is hard work but can be fun and profitable.
Just one suggestion off the top of my head, I'm not sure if you are mostly marketing to US, UK and other english speaking users but some of the grammar on your "about us" page is not good and I assume was written by someone who does not have english as a first language.

Maybe you could hire someone to do a small re-write.
 
Good luck on your ecommerce store. But I would like to tell you my honest opinion about it. I don't like the design very much. If I was a potential buyer I wouldn't give my money to you.
Try themeforest.net they have some great ecommerce wordpress themes and they are easy to use.
 
I started my ecommerce site with just FB hype. Find a b-grade FB celebrity with 10,000+ fans, say if you promote this product(product not website, make sure the URL leads directly to advertised product page) I will pay you *5 of every sale. Win/win you get more traffic and possibly sales. Then start your own fb page that you can leverage off. Read through the SEO sections to boost your traffic. I would advise against buying any traffic as your page can be banned if Zuckerberg sniffs something( I've seen this happen recently).
 
And where is your sales/delivery/returns page? You need that to get trust with your customers, just cut and paste:)
 
PPC is for more sure traffic, SEO is a long term investment. Social... just crumbs in my experiences.
