Hi OP,
The first question I like to ask is why are you being impatient, many IM started with low or no traffic. Its after many seo strategies and asking BHW for suggestions that they started to work successfully.
All new IM must undergo the same rigorous trainings unless you have a coach!

You can follow this points.
1) Start a keyword research, because it is really very important to select your keywords carefully.
2) Includes keyword in URL, by simply start going down the list and turning keyword ideas into blog posts topic.
3) Include keywords in the post
4) Stick to a posting schedule, and
5) Have patients because Growth may be slow process

First you need to do proper on page of your website then create natural high PR backlinks.
In off page just more focus in content marketing and do more forum posting with singnature link.
Also promote your bog on social sites it will help a lot.

you need a lot of traffic to your site if you want to start getting good traffic. each article should be at 800 words long, though 1000 words is better

I realized something, most of us don't have the time to commit in pursuing a proper website with adequate management; maintenance, restructuring, testing of ads and I am quite guilty of that too. But, it is a good practice to perform reviews once in a while.

you're going to hurt your website if you do it. ranking is suppose to be a waiting game.

Just do SEO activity it was a big help to get a good rank also link building, try also put a chatroom so that you can talk your visitor in real time..
