Background

I joined BHW over a decade ago in hopes I would learn enough to make money online. My progression was natural:

  • I made my first dollar writing content for people.
  • I took that dollar, then reinvested it into SEO and affiliate marketing. I managed to get to $100/day with this.
  • I started an affiliate network as a broker to other publishers. Business was good and fun, but after some time, one of our biggest partners decided not to pay us. The non-payment took a toll on my mental health and took me out of the online game for a few years.
  • 3-4 years later, I came back with the sole purpose of creating my offers and controlling every aspect of the lead generation journey. Here I started an ad agency selling leads to businesses.
  • And today...I own a business and control everything from customer acquisition to product delivery.

The Purpose of this Thread

This thread is a followup to one I posted years ago titled "Top 4 Reasons You Suck at Media Buying". The common feedback is that this forum has little to no content about media buying. And with a quick search, there seems to be NOTHING that goes into detail about Linkedin Ads.

Since BHW has changed my life, I decided it would be best to give back. So, in this thread, you'll learn how to make 100k/month with Linkedin Ads.

Current State

  • I currently make between 15-25k/month in revenue.
  • All customers acquired today have been through organic word-of-mouth traffic, referrals, and strategic partnerships with other companies.
  • I have 10-15k/month of free cash flow to spend on advertising.

Goal State

Time and money are needed to do advertising. Luckily I have both, so using Linkedin, I plan to:
  • Increase the profit per customer of the business

Each new customer generates between 25-30k of revenue. I want to triple this. To do so, I will need to change the product we're offering, find more wealthy customers and generate more value for their business.

  • Find product-message-fit with Linkedin Ads.

I need to find the perfect combination of media assets, copy, and landing pages to reach customers that can afford the 100k+ price tag for my product. This is called product-message-fit.
  • Scale the business past 100k/month revenue.

Product-message-fit is easy. The hard part is delivering value to my customers in the shortest time possible with the least amount of human assets. This is called product-market fit. Once found, scaling to 100k+/month is easy as throwing money at the wall.
How this journey is organized
  • I'll post an update of the stats for the week before (work done, results, and next steps).
  • I'll collect Q&As in one thread and try to answer them during downtime.

In the meantime, I'm going to wrap the week up and prepare for the next post. Check back later!

Good luck but didn't understand much
And how can one customers make you 25k-30k in revenue
What are you selling

Make sure to include and showcase testimonials and case-studies from your previous clients.

Good luck

Will you be learning linkedin ads from the ground up, and does your niche require cloaking? (Not familiar with linkedin ads, therefore idk if that'd be required)

But god damn, each customer generates 25-30k of revenue? That's insane.

I dont understand how you make money lol.

Anyway thanks for the journey! Giving back

Yes but what type of niches?
I sell products and services to existing businesses. Hence the 5-figure LTV for each customer.
I believe OP is selling leads to businesses via linkedin ads.

I will follow for sure, good luck!
I am not selling leads to businesses. I used to in the past, which made me learn media buying fundamentals that I will use in this journey.

I will be learning Linkedin from the ground up. However, it's not from point zero since I have experience buying ads from other platforms. I am using Linkedin because I want to sell high-ticket offers to businesses.

I am not using cloaking or any BH tricks. This is a legitimate offer. I don't advise anyone to break the rules of the ad platforms in chase of a quick dollar. If you want to run questionable offers, you should find traffic sources that allow it.

Plus Linkedin ads isn't something that a low ticket offer can support. The ad prices alone will put you in the negative 100% of the time.

Good luck with your journey.

What media have you used in the past to sell services to businesses?

Update #1

> Here's what's done

  • I created a simple landing page. (Headline, case studies, and calendar for people to book now)
  • I added Linkedin tracking scripts with Google Tag Manager
  • I set up Calendly with Zoom and Google Calendars for booking appointments.
> Thoughts

I need to find message-market-fit. Here's how I plan to do it:
  • The message is independent of the product offered. You do not need to create a product to market and generate sales.
  • Before we finalize the product offered, we must find message-market-fit.
  • Message market fit is the correct combination of audience, creatives, and landing page that generates appointments on your calendar.

The Feedback Loop

Message-Market-Fit Feedback loop.png

  • The optimization process must be void of emotion. Here we establish simple rules to follow.
  • For every 1000 impressions, you must get at least 20 clicks. For every 100 clicks, you must schedule at least ten appointments.
  • You will spend $50 per day.
  • The faster you iterate through this feedback loop, the closer you get to making your first sale.
> Next Steps
  • Make my first iteration through the loop above.
Questions

Good luck with your journey.

What media have you used in the past to sell services to businesses?

Facebook and Instagram Ads. It's a good platform for selling B2C products to consumers and small businesses with under 5M in revenue. I'm shifting to Linkedin because its targeting options let me reach larger companies.

3k revenue per customer is great. What exact services they purchase ? Is it recurring payment for these ?
