Journey to Success!

Hi all!

I wanted to post my journey to success and have a little accountability on the way. I see a lot of these and as a lurker since 09, I think it's time to take a little action!

My Background....
I have been making squidoo lenses and wordpress sites and trying to sell directly from them for some time now.

Lifetime internet earnings using these methods are about $300.00. Most coming from a clickbank product with monthly re-bill (auto blog samurai)

My strengths are article marketing, keyword research, writing, and a no retreat no surrender type of attitude.

My weaknesses are pretty much everything technical, but I'm learning and getting better.

As I layout what I'm about to do, I'm hoping when I stumble I can look for help here in the forum or in this post.

My plan is to setup a squeeze page, drive traffic for free giveaway, and build a list to monetize using an autoresponder. I will be focusing on the internet marketing niche and trying to position myself as someone to learn from.

So, here is where I stand.... I have purchased what I believe to be a pretty butt-kicking domain name, hosting, and I have spent last two days writing a 23 page e-book from scratch with my take/spin on this game for the giveaway.

It's the usual beginner internet marketing story, but it's how i want to do it based on the business plan i have outlined.

I have a couple of finishing touches (table of contents, etc..) for tomorrow morning and the giveaway should be complete... muahahahahaha

Tomorrow I also plan on trying to purchase my autoresponder account, build my squeeze page, and upload book so that everything is functional by days end.

I'm hoping that's not to much for one day but I will just plug away and get everything that I can done!

I will do my best to answer any and all questions and to also keep this updated. I'm tired of seeing these started and not followed through on!

So today I had a little bit of a setback with a broken down car!

However, I'm proud to report that I did completely edit, format, add table of contents to, and finish my E-Book.

So, I will try and do some more work tonight but don't know if I'll be able to.

Things are looking great and I'm so ultra excited to launch this puppy!

I signed up for an Autoresponder Account and got my list setup and the confirmation email taken care of.

I also got my new domain name setup on my hosting account. I'm hoping I haven't screwed the pooch using go daddy.

I already had all of my other domains, etc. there and had a hosting account to use.

So now I'm at a stand still while I try and learn how to do the things I have no idea how to do.

I need to upload my free e-book, create my squeeze page, get auto responder code, and all of that fun stuff to get my page and auto responder ready to go. I have no idea how to do any of this and haven't found a simple tutorial to use.

So, if you want to help now is the time to dive in and help a struggling wannabe.

$300k in how many months?

Did you say 300K? LOL .... I said $300 hundred dollars... that's putting lenses and wordpress sites out there... been doing it very inconsistently for about a year.....

I have 5 wordpress sites, 10 squidoo lenses, and about 40 articles over at ezine. I also have a blogger, blogspot, etc. linkwheel out there. The linkwheel made a bit on cpa offers. also 1 auto blog tying back to amazon that has made $25.00

However, all of these made a few dollars here and there and then I found a nice keyword in the auto blogging niche promoting auto blog samurai and $200.00 of that has come in less than the last 30 days or so on click*ank off of a squidoo lens. The lens has only had about 50 lifetime hits and converted 4 sales which have a rebill.

So, as everyone here says, I need to go focus on that and scale it. I just haven't yet cuz the keyword is pretty hard/boring to write on. lol. May sell it.

The good news it's got me really motivated to get to moving on this big project I've been thinking about forever. I'm now stuck on the technical piece of it Per Se and I am studying feverishly to finish it.

However, I'm just not finding a solid tutorial to get er done!

Allright, so it's official if you've been reading. My car blew a head gasket and spent last two days getting a new one. UGH, So now, money is even more important... lol.

Anyways, here's the latest update... I posted in the freelance section needed help setting up squeeze page/ autoresponder... and actually selected someone to do it for me...

Unfortunately didn't hear from and got anxious so I just really focused and managed to get it all done today. So, I'm up and live!!

I'm pretty stoked because it wasn't hard and I just kept telling myself I have to take action and quit being a little bit**...lol.

After setup, used some tools and pinged the heck out of it. Already seeing a few new backlinks, etc...

Btw, I was kind of surprised I got the domain name that I did and after searching through countless search results, there is still a lot of old stuff there from whoever had it before (2006) One site said it was valued at 3600.00 and had approximately 1500 hits per day.

So now I'm off to study more about traffic. I had a copy of profit Mon*rch that I got here on bhw. I was super stoked about it and spent a ton of time watching all the vids, training, etc... It was gonna be my first traffic method as I've heard nothing but positive. unfortunately, the email they posted to get access is no longer valid.

Oh yeah, and I got 3 sales today.... 2 from 1 squidoo lens and 1 from Click*ank. Whoot Whoot. Total of all is $47.00

K, time to go figure out traffic!

Thanks Guys! Any traffic tips or recommendations are GREATLY welcomed right about now!

Everything I've ever done up to now is squidoo, articles, and web 2.0 traffic with longtails and all of them have virtually stopped due to big G dance of late.

Need something to get me some eyeballs on that new squeeze page and see how it works!

No offence, but I find it really tiring reading your posts. Lesser paragraphs and more lines in a paragraph will greatly help.
