Journey To Never Having a Boss

First of all, let me introduce myself. I'm a 19 year old college student with an entrepreneurial mindset. I have a part time job, but I make most of my money online. At the moment, my eBay/Amazon business is where I make the bulk of my profits. The problem with my niche market is that it takes money to make money, which is why it's slowly taking off. There is also a somewhat limited market for my items and they also depreciate in value each week, which means that I need to get better prices/suppliers, otherwise I won't last very long. After realizing this, I have started 2 separate ventures.

The first venture, which is why my main goal, is forex. The forex market is, as far as I'm concerned, an unlimited source of wealth or a bottomless pit that will take from you everything you have and then some. I'm trying to make sure that it's the former rather than the latter. I am by no means a seasoned trader, but I do have a little over a year of experience in forex and the stock market. I'm not ready to trade with the bulk of my savings just yet, which is why I want to spend as much time as I can learning about economics, human psychology, and the markets before I jump right in. During this time I am able to focus on my second venture, at the moment, consists of building my adult website, driving traffic to it, and monitizing it.

Now to the good stuff. My website is fully functional and I'm adding content to it each day. The amount of unique visitors is also going up daily, so I'm on the right track. My current sources of traffic are Tumblr and Facebook. I have learned quiet a bit about Facebook over the last couple of weeks and I'm learning about Tumblr right now. After a week or so my fanpage has around 400 likes and the account that I created to drive traffic to this fanpage hit 5k friends with 1k friend requests pending in just under 5 days without any bots or spamming. I'll link my thread below that explains exactly what I did. My Tumblr account is 2 days old and with the help of Fatboy's bots I currently have 43 followers. My website gets around 100 unique visitors daily and I just made my first 2 cents through JuicyAds, which I'm ecstatic about!

This isn't going to be a 1 month or a 1 year journey. I hope to retire off forex and investing and the start up capital/residual income that I will get by automating and scaling up my website(s) will help me achieve that goal. To sum it all up, these are my stats so far:

Day 1
Facebook: 400 likes
Tumblr: 43 followers and 56 unique visitors
Website:103 unique visitors
Profit: $0.02

Things to come:
- I will begin using proxies and maybe invest in a VPS once I figure out how to use it
- I will create more Facebook fan pages and Tumblr blogs and populate them with existing pages and blogs
- I will upload more content on the website and work on increasing traffic conversions
- I will look into CPA and affiliate links to further increase profits

Well best of luck, you still have a boss though, its your visitors, and you have to remember your working for them. Its just they won't tell you what to do, which might or might not be seen as a bonus

Haha, you're right. In the future, once I make a living off of forex, it will be my broker and the market as a whole. I guess I'll never have a boss-free life, but it beats working minimum wage at McDonalds.

Day 2
Facebook: 410 fans
Tumblr: 71 followers 86 unique visitors
Website: 80 unique visitors
Profit: $0.04 (23 clicks)

Didn't have much time to do anything today. Ran Tumblr bots to follow and like 200 blogs and pictures. The ads have had 334 impressions and 23 clicks, yet my epc is so low, does anyone know why that may be? Since I just started using JuicyAds, my ads are pre-selected, which is what I think is the problem for the low payout. Clicks almost tripled while the number of unique visitors went down. I changed the shape of the ad, but kept the placement the same.

If anyone knows a way to monitize the traffic that I get on my tumblr page (before they head to my page), please let me know. Some people found a temporary fix for displaying their JuicyAds/Plugrush, but I think that they will eventually be banned for it.

Day 3
Facebook: 431 fans
Tumblr: 132 followers 88 unique visitors
Website: 85 unique visitors
Profit: $0.06 (20 clicks)

Busy today and was only able to run bots on Tumblr until I reached my like limit. For some reason I wasn't able to upload any pictures from my queue, so I had to reblog pictures. I learned two things today: Tumblr traffic is easier to get than Facebook traffic and gifs are a lot more likely to go viral than a picture of the same or higher quality. Clicks were a bit down compared to yesterday, but that may be because I updated a bit earlier today.

Day 4
Facebook: 498 fans
Tumblr: 206 followers 146 unique visitors
Website: 209 unique visitors
Profit: $0.18 (33 clicks)

One of my gifs went semi viral today (350+ notes in under 24 hours), which probably accounted for at least 50 of the followers because my queue was bugged and did not upload anything. The rest of followers came from me manually reblogging a couple of times today. Facebook fans rose because I allowed people to follow me on my account as well as tell people to follow me on an "add me" page. Easiest way to get followers/friend requests is to join these groups, throw up a sexy pic (must match bodytype, skintone, and not reveal the face) and ask a question that will have them interacting with you. Everytime someone comments, your post will be to the top. One of my posts received 300 likes that. I have gained about 500 followers today from this method. As a result of the little twist on the capped out fb account and running bots until my limits were reached on tumblr, traffic to my site doubled and pageviews more than tripled! Still have lots of ideas left. Going to look into popunder ads by juicyads and maybe throwing up a CPM ad from another network.

Day 5
Facebook: 525 fan
Tumblr: 255 followers 130 unique visitors
Website: 123 unique visitors
Profit: $0.05 (19 clicks and 30 popunder impressions)

Something is fishy with JuicyAds today. The first 11 clicks did not bring in any revenue at all, which can't be right. I also implemented popunders and will see how the audience responds to it. Traffic was lower today because I did not advertise the link on facebook and nothing went viral on my Tumblr. I've noticed that although Tumblr followers are much easier to get than Facebook fans, Facebook fans are much more likely to visit the site than Tumblr followers.

Day 6
Facebook:
Tumblr: 282 followers 128 unique
Website: 214 unique visitors
Profit: $0.44 (70 clicks and 78 popunder impressions)

Ran tumblr bots as usual and updated fan page like I always did. Only difference was that I posted in 3 facebook "add me" pages the link of my site and received 40 clicks on ads in 5-6 hours. Considering creating more tumblr accounts, but first I'll need to get a proxy list and figure out the best way to streamline the process.
