was $1400 for making a single premium app from a scratch to a finish?I hire freelancers from 3rd world countries, I cannot afford to hire from the U.S.
I am extremely un-organized and not sure how much is the average, but I hire a freelancer to do specific feature, then add another feature... until the app is finished.
Looking at my bank account, so far I spent aroun $1,400 on Upwork, this is equivelant to 6 apps cost, so $1400/6 = ~$230

related to the job you uploaded to Upwork, you offered $100 to the dev to make an app along with these following featuresI don't reskin apps, I developer them from scratch.
So lots of you asking same question, let me give an example of how it goes.
Let's say I saw an that helps with budgeting and they're doing will and want to develop the same app, then I will think about the bare minimum functionality of the app and then post a job on Upwork as follows:
"
I am looking for android who can create a simple budget app, the app has the following features:
1. Home screen: User can add/edit/delete expense
2. Contact us page: when they click that, their Gmail app will open and send us an email
3. Handling 1 simple in-app purchase, if user didn't purchase the app, then we show ads(you don't need to worry about the ads, we will do that on another contract)
This should be done in 1-2 weeks(please let me know if it takes more and why?)
Budget is $100 for this job, if you're not comfortable doing this job for $100 please don't apply
"
Then I will look through proposals and see who is reliable and then start with them, after they finish it, maybe I will add another $20 milestone that will ads ad-mob in case user is on free...etc
as you can see, it's a hussle, negotiation and so on, there is no curriculum for doing everything.
Thank you, utility/tool apps. Are you making gaming apps? Good luck on your journey!
Initially you lose money, you only make money if your app became successful(consistently generating revenue)Will it be profitable after hiring someone for developing the app! Good luck on your journey btw.
No, if the freelancer did a good job then I would hire them again to add a few small feature, again and again until the app is usable, then I publish to the appstore. if it got traction, then I would improve on it if needed, if the app not getting users then I would move on, but it's seldom for my apps to fail because I do market research before creating my app.so, after that app has been finished and sent by the dev, do you upload that newly finished app directly to the app store?
only one of my apps is, ironically it's the 3rd performing app in terms of revenue, I have other 2 apps that perform better in terms of revenue...Did your app are on the top 10 of keyword you use?
There are two types of app developers on appstores:Any tips how to do app market research?
To find good niche to make app?
The market is so saturated and so hard to find ideas to make app about..
Because there is literally every useful app already made. Feels like there is nothing to make..
Everything already made..
this question sounds logical but it's actually silly, It's like a grocery store, if someone is opening a new grocery store and you ask them the above question, it would be silly question, because some people will buy from this new grocery store because it's near to their location, similarly sometimes my new app gets suggested to users and they download and use my app even though an older app exists with same functionality. You said you "copied" other app basically.
But what makes users to use your app and not the "original" ?
Thank you matekeep going and good luck
What is that for?Do multiple offers on offerwalls
I recommend you to use an app called "Island" it gives you a work profile on your phone to repeat the offers multiple times just keep resetting it after every offer you complete
