It can be a good way of getting leads or getting traffic to a domain. However tumblr has made some changes over the last few months which make it almost impossible to earn money from directly putting plugrush on your tumblr blog or image twist. It's still possible to you this method, with a few twists, you're better off trying something else.

Great job guys. I've been doing this for 6 years. Now I get about 25k uniques a day. But I earn in between $425-$650 a day because instead of using ads to monetize I use something else. If you want to know what I use pm me. I won't charge you anything upfront. The only thing I would ask you to do is sign up to the program I use under my affiliate link. It seems fare to me since I give you the key to at least 3k a month if you are creative. Pm me.

I have a tumblr on auto and it send 40-80 clicks per day from a link at the top of the tumblr.
For the auto part I use IFTTT and imgur rss feeds.
if you are interested in making an auto blog like the one I got send me a pm I'll show you how.
Also I run a pay per click program so you'll make some money doing it
