That's actually on my list for next week. Due to moving to a bridge network for T1 I don't want it linking to the same money site a whole bunch of times, I don't have a fixed limit yet but I will probably try to keep it below 10 times in total. Because of this I am planning on building a bunch of Money Site domains and putting filler content on them and letting them age while I complete this second round of testing and then if it works I have them ready to scale into.
I want one money site domain per niche with around 50,000 words of unique human wrote content on it minimum that can be a mix of money pages that are intended to make money and a whole bunch of filler pages that are tutorials and stuff like that then link out to the money pages over time from the BN and then add web 2.0s and stuff under them.
I let my SERPLab subscription drop not realizing the free plan only holds 3 months of historical rank tracker data so I have lost a bunch of stuff from the tests but most of my analyzing had been done thankfully but here's the analytics for one of the self-hosted domains from this journey. It was launched early April but still took about four months before its traffic started to climb. Not sure if its the domain aging in, its links aging in or both, defo starting to lean more towards links having to age in rather than the domain though.
It's a pretty similar pattern to the below site that I built last year other than last years site having about 100-120 money pages and the above one only having 7 so its traffic pull is much less.
The below screenshot is for my zero backlink experiment I started back in Feb. Its domain is a few month older than the above two screenshots are in their date ranges but as you can see, traffic is actually falling rather than climbing further pushing me towards backlinks to money pages having to age in before traffic increases rather than the actual money site domain but again it could be both.
I am planning on splitting the zero backlinking experiments money pages up into three batches. One will get BN links built to it, one will get manual web 2.0s built to it and one will just be left with zero backlinks. I am interested to see how its pages respond to the changes over the coming months and will hopefully help me better understand it if I get to a scaling stage.
