I have just launched my dropshipping website.

Now what I am doing for marketing.

Joined bunch of groups of related niches. Collected emails of more than 2000 members by audience extractor software.

Now I will run a email campaign to the emails with the best selling products.

Don't know what is going to happen but I am testing it before going to any paid campaign on facebook and instagram.

This is simple reading, HERE you HAVE to have opt in consent these days. I have seen companies heavily fined. Or opted in via a third party.

You also have the Data Protection Act of 2018, SARs, Freedom of Information etc which companies are obligated to adhere too, in regards to giving you, personal information held. Well those normal companies anyway, not mass spammers. Different organisations and bodies will have different data acts they adhere too.

Also, the percentage uptake of cold emails is crap. 99 per cent will end up in spam, or deleted. Calling, LinkedIn, Trade Forums, targeted advertising or anything really is a better option.

It's a waste of time. 2k emails is nothing anyway. You need the correct person and buyer. TO DEVELOP A RELATIONSHIP WITH. Not annoy people by sending them more emails.

GDPR only for Europe. I will send to people of USA.
My thoughts are, if I would make ads on facebook, maybe it would show somehow the targeted people with targeted interests. but instead of facebook ads, I will send them direct cold emails. I will follow the cold email rules so that I hope it will not be stored on spam folder.

OK, been in this came for 17 years. I am advising you cold emails will not work. But do as you please. Also business owners generally will not find Facebook ads, even if you refine and refine ads of interest. Linkedin maybe, or G networks. Over and out. There are no cold email rules btw! Most decent companies will have very effective methods to gatekeep crap emails.

@OP please follow your gut and do what you have a conviction of doing. what's the worst that will happen? you do not get any sales. but whats the best that could happen? all these so-called experienced folks will be proven wrong once again like most people whom told me i couldnt do anything.

email marketing still has the highest ROI in online marketing so I do not see how one cannot be optimistic about this. yes it is cold emailing but i get cold emails hit my inbox numerous times - gmail and hotmail (which is strict as hell). those people obviously doing something right. they just need the right subject and content to get me to buy but as far as hitting my inbox, that they do. a good number of people may curse you out but most people will just ignore what they are not interested in like i do.

as far as gdpr goes and canspam, the vast majority of people that you inbox know nothing about what gdpr or canspam really means. those who know will find that wasting the time and energy to fine you is worth nothing of their time. they'd rather go for big companies that are sure of paying out.

best of luck.

ok you are telling cold emails don't work but I heared a podcast of co-founder of Lemlist, a cold email tool that went from nowhere to $250,000 in within literally 1 year. If it is not working, then why was his services sold?

I have this purchased too, look all the best to you, but some people know what they are talking about. One month report back. Enjoy the journey. It will be a waste of time. Over and out. Looking forward to the monthly update, once you have sold crap products x 10000 with a non-definable profit margin.

Are you only marketing through mass emailing, or do you have other plans on how to market your dropshipping?
