[JOURNEY] BUILDING AN AFFILIATE WEBSITE TO $1,000 PER MONTH WITH NO MONEY TO INVEST

WOOOOOOW
I just read all of it and it's just pure GOLD.
I want to organise my future journey like that too.
It was so kind of #Blooop to give this money and that content template too.
Really looking forward to your success.
Keep grinding as power shortage is pretty common in countries like ours. I live in Madagascar, by the way, and I work with a second hand laptop with 4 hours autonomy and a modem. Good luck

Where is the update ?
Hey @Sweetrevenge thanks a lot for your interest in my journey. Unfortunately, I´ve been dealing with some technical and personal issues lately that have not allowed me to continue updating my journey.

With this, I do not mean I will not continue with it. I need to only organize a couple of things to be able to update this more regularly.

But since you ask, right now I am writing what will be my first article.

And, doing so, I have encountered many obstacles.

I consider myself a perfectionist and I have edited its content about 4 or 5 times. Not being satisfied with how it turned out.

On the other hand, have a good time reviewing dozens and dozens of blogs and affiliate pages detailing the design and layout used in them.

I took around two dozen screenshots of features, layout designs and graphic elements that were incorporated on those website´s articles that I believe not only improve user experience by making reading a lot more appealing and engaging but also bring those articles to life!

And want to include some of those elements into my posts.

Parallel to all this, I am documenting everything I am doing in an attempt to try to develop a road map of what I must do in order to reproduce the same results every single time and, it will eventually help me to cut the times and be able to improve my delivery times and publish quality content more efficiently and, more importantly, in less time!

Again, I want to thank you for your interest in my journey and, at the same time, I want to make it clear that I have not forgotten it and I have no intention of abandoning it.

Thanks again and see you soon!

Well, to be honest, this wasn´t like a normal thing for us until the last 3-4 years ago.

Our government (with more than 20 years in power) has not complied with the investment program that our electrical system requires and that is beginning to take its toll on us all.

Fortunately, the situation is gradually improving. We no longer have power outages of 6-8 + hours a day. There are days where we have no cuts and, when we have them, it is only for a couple of hours.

The internet is another story. Even when we have electricity for an increasing number of hours a day, the internet service is still very unstable.

Sadly, the other options are currently out of my budget.

But none of this will stop me!

My project is taking shape every time, maybe not at the pace I would like, but I am always making progress on it.

LET´S F*****G DO THIS!

I'm genuinely interested in your journey, because I want to see another fellow Blackhatter succeeding in his IM projet.
Yes, power outtage wasn't a thing here too until 2016. At that time, I lost so much clients, that I want to avoid that at all cost now. That's why I prefer using a laptop with a reliable battery even if it's a little bit pricey.
I hope you'll be able to update this thread more regularly soon.
Good luck, again.

Que molleja Maracucho!! I was reading https://www.blackhatworld.com/members/bloooop.769913/ https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/successful-journey-scaling-amazon-affiliate-from-1000-m-to-10k.1166081/unread Journey and I didn´t realize you were VENEZUELAAAAAN haha, much less from Maracibo...

I am from Venezuela as well, Caracas to be exact!

Anyway hit me with a PM, I would like to talk to you about your project since I am just starting one as well and I think I can help you with some things and probably exchange some ideas and experience.

Cheers!

Que paso priiiimooo!

haha sure thing bro, my skype is on my profile, hit me up there when you have the chance.

Cheers!

Great journey mate, you'll smash it. Mind sharing who the TYer is for the Pinterest marketing? Really want to stay using that myself.

Keep in mind the 80-20 rule. A perfect post, page, website etc.. that never gets done will always earn you less than having a decent site that it up and running. See where you have most potential and just come back and edit the article later.
Buena suerte

I'm in a similar situation, living in a third world country with not much money to invest in IM.
With hard work and passion we can overcome that my friend, just be patient.

How do you plan to rank your website? you will do the same thing that @Bloooop did and target keywords with low search volume?

Good luck man, keep working hard ;)

Yeap, it sucks. I don´t know about your particular situation but in our case (Venezuela) we have pretty much all the natural resources to become a 1st world country but due to lack of leadership in politics we are suffering our biggest social, economical and political crisis in our history.

yeap, I 100% agree with this

Yes sir, at least at the beginning when trying to build authority i will focus all my keyword research on targeting very low competitive keywords.
IGood luck man, keep working hard ;)
Thanks!

Will update this journey soon! Just finishing giving my website the last final touches.

After going through several themes and one fiasco theme (Soledad) i had to reset everything by default and reinstall everything. Thankfully, this won´t happen again as i just installed Updraft Plus to back up my site regularly.

I also didn´t know my hosting offers daily back so, i am more prepared now.

Decided to go with a free theme with a grid/magazine layout for my site. It´s very light and it has good options and features.

Finishing a few more articles and then will focus on building some backlinks and building my social media presence.

Very excited about the next phase!

Thanks a lot for following!

You can find some nice themes for free here https://www.blackhatworld.com/forums/member-downloads.29/

About backlinks, there's a guy that always post some web 2.0 websites that can be useful to get some link juice, give it a try. The profile is https://www.blackhatworld.com/members/rachmaninoff.157046/

Roger OP , excellent seeing you dive in , I am thrilled that you would take the “free” approach this will be great to watch and I’m rooting for you brother best of luck .

Can I ask which method you used to find a niche? Did you go directly to Amazon and find products with a good price range and then do keyword research for them? What do you use for keyword research?

That´s one method but, personally, i dived into a niche i am particularly passionate and knowledgable about.

This makes everything else a lot easier!
What do you use for keyword research?
  • Niche related forums, Medium (and other similar sites) and Q&A platform (Quora and Reddit mostly) for brainstorming
  • Google (People also ask feature) - Using some advanced search operators, Answer The Public as well as Also Asked to find closely related topics
  • A Semantic keyword generator tool to find highly related keywords to use them as "seed" or LSI keywords
  • And, ultimately, I use Ahrefs to conduct a more in-depth and metric heavy keyword research - Here, i not only look into their monthly search volume (MS) and keyword difficulty (KD) scores but also dive into other metrics like total search traffic (i believe this is more important than MS itself) and total keywords targeted by SERP top 10 results.
  • I also make use of the Include and Exclude filters to make the analysis a lot easier and filtering out crappy and unrelated keywords and just focus on highly relevant ones.
  • Finally, I also use Ahrefs to conduct a competitor analysis to see how hard would it be to rank the top 5 for that particular keyword.
I first search for a sub-niche inside my niche and just break it down as much as possible and generate dozens of highly relevant topics to write content around that have the least amount of competitivity.

You know, focus on writing content that won't require that many links in order to rank that also has the most traffic potential for my website.

Pretty sure i am leaving some stuff behind but i am also sure i cover the most important phases of my keyword research process.

For more information, i highly recommend reading @Holzr articles on this topic.

Thanks for reaching out and will be posting more updates soon. Right now, i am focusing on writing content and designing the layout my website will have.

I have to say, i am feeling more and more satisfied with how my project is looking.

Everything is falling into place and looking forward to building and expanding this project even further.

Cheers!

Thanks for the info, at the moment I am only using SEMRush because I am very new to IM and SEO, and they have a free trial.

What kind of monthly search volume and keyword difficulty are your keywords? I have been looking but even low volume keywords (less than 500) have keyword difficulties of 60-80+ on SEMRush, I have no idea how I am going to find a niche of products that isn't saturated with competition.

SEMRush is perfect for newcomers as their interface is more user-friendly than any other SEO tool out there, to be honest.

Don´t pay too much attention to monthly search volume and focus on more on the potential traffic that keyword can bring you.

Monthly search volume just tells you how many times a particular search quety it´s been typed down on Google and not the amount of people actually visiting your website.

For that, you need to take into account other metrics but to make things easier just focus on the traffic potential.

Also, take under account, when building content around a particular keyword, you´re not just tarjeting that keyword.

By default, Google takes into account dozes, hundreds or sometimes, even thousands of other related keywords for that same keyword you´re targeting.

How is this possible?

Through the use of related words, synonyms, LSIs, etc.

This is a metric Ahrefs offers, not sure if SEMRush does it as well but i believe it´s highly crucial and vital to the success of your keyword research process.

I´ve found keywords with 50 monthly searches that generates 500+ monthly traffic to a particular article or page and, on the other hand, i´ve seen keywords with 500+ MS that generates less than 100 visitors.

Hope this helps,

Cheers!!!

What do you think is best, a niche blog about a single product type? I guess this would almost be a micro niche site, for example... a blog about lawn mowers. Or would it be better to have a niche which has a lot of products, in this case maybe the blog niche would be gardening, and then you could have lawn mowers as well as other gardening tools, like shovels, hoses, etc...
