Hello Everyone,

I am writing this journey to keep myself motivated + bring some value to the BHW community. As you can read in the title I have some ambitious goals to accomplish.

Recently I stumbled across no-code tools like bubble.io which enable you to build a SaaS website without being able to code. You can imagine it a bit like shopify but for SaaS. There are a many other tools and APIs which you can integrate so you basically can build whatever you imagine. Something which is really interesting is the connection with ChatGPT through OpenAIs APIs. You can basically train a chatGPT agent for any use case and integrate it directly into your own website. This makes the possibilities almost endless.

But why an SaaS in the first place?

A SaaS is the ultimate money printing machine and its the end goal of most successful entrepreneurs. People like Iman Gadzhi, Alex Hormozi, Jordan welch, Alex Becker and so on all ended up launching an SaaS business. Why? Because they know that it is infinitely scalable. They stopped focusing on their smma agencies, gyms ect in order to launch a SaaS business.

A few years ago you needed A LOT of money in order to be able to build a SaaS business because of its complex nature. Coding, servers, backtesting you name it. But now it got as easy as a drag and drop website builder (not quite as easy but you get my point). This reduces the costs of launching a SaaS business dramatically which agains enables people like me (and you) to just start an own SaaS project.

My background:

Honestly I have no idea about coding. I wanted to learn it a few years ago but never got past the basics of HTML/CSS. Anyways, this gives me already a basic understanding of how a website is structured. I already built a few websites with Wordpress, Framer, Shopify, Wix and so on but never anything serious. So basically I start at almost zero.

My Goal:

REACH 100K$ PROFIT A MONTH

It will be a hard and long way to reach that number (which is also the reason why I am writing this journey down, I want me to stay motivated and motivate others) also as of now I do not know which use case I want to target. But I am sure that I will get a good idea while learning to use the tools.

So here are my first steps:

At the beginning it will be all about learning how to use the tools. I will build a test project solely to get used to the workflow. I will focus on Bubble, WebFlow, Carrd and how to integrate APIs into my project in the first place (If I discover other valuable tools I will share them here with you).

My Plan is to watch EVERY youtube video I can find and extract as much value as possible for free. I am a good autodidact so that shouldnt be a problem. I will write down notes for everything (like in school lol) and recap what I learned every day.

This project will be purely whitehat so I wont do any shady stuff.

I will update this thread every couple days with what I learned and the overall progress.

-

If you have any ideas on what I could create my SaaS for please let me know in the replies, it will be highly appreciated! Maybe you even have a problem that needs to be solved in you business?

Also if some of you are already in the SaaS business and want to connect feel free to reach out to me or follow this thread.

The ''gurus'' (to be read: shams) are making ''millions'' with SaaS simply because they have an audience of mostly young, hungry people that on top of everything are hungry to find meaning, a path to meaning.

These ''gurus'' have a very simple business model, and they squeeze it as hard as possible.

If for whatever reason their respective audiences would go to 0 tomorrow, their ''ultimate money printing machine'' as you called SaaS, would also fizzle shortly after.

We all have to thank Kardashians for starting all this :)haha.

Anyway. I wish I could recommend you an idea that would make you design a product that will make the world better, but I can't. The only thing I can tell you is that you have to look at what industries need servicing.
Oil industry made a lot of milionaires that catered food, had industrial-size dry cleaning, serviced telecom ....

What industry today needs lots of servicing and outsources most of this servicing?

Better stop dreaming - your plan is a fantasy not available in the real world.
Hard words but they hold quite a bit of truth. It's not realistic to want to set up a business making $100k/month based on a technical product you don't have the skills to develop and having your business plan consist of watching every possible youtube video.

I don't intend to discourage anyone from starting a business, quite the opposite, but set more realistic goals and expectations for yourself.

Lol you don't set a goal like this.

You set a goal like mid 4 figures and then 5 figures and then scaling...

Plus you need to sell first

As of now I am learning the basics of workflows and databases. It is quite complex but I am getting a hang on it. My goal for the next 10 days is to be able to build a basic clone version of airbnb.

I also found some guys who made an course about bubble.io, make.com and how to build an micro SaaS. Not sure yet if I will buy it, but as its only 70$ I probably will. This would give me a head start for sure + its always good to be in a community with likeminded people to share some experience.

I dont really get why you are all so pessimistic. There are lots of examples of people making tons of money with super simple SaaS apps.

Go check out candy.ai, its simply some AI agents trained to make dirty talk connected with an API to a website. They make multiple 5 figures a month on that.

Remember the hype on social media to create an AI profile picture out of 5 of your real photos? It was just a midjourney API connected to an website. They charged 20$ for each and had hundreds of thousands of customers.

There is a big arbitrage gap which you can exploit at the moment. Most people are still too stupid to use chatGPT. Give them a specific use case which chatGPT can solve, put it in a better and more easy UI/UX and let them pay for that.

Honestly everything is possible at the moment. I will keep you all updated and probably prove you wrong :)

good luck bro!
Good luck and I'm sure you will achieve your goals.

Thanks for that! It will be an interesting journey for sure :D

No pessimism. All optimism.

Just that you don't have any industry in mind??

I can't see...

Plan of attack seems broken or wasn't written down.

I think first you need to understand niche, make some cash within niche, then solve problems using SaaS that you can solve due to your niche experience.

These products you mentioned seem to be some unicorns in my eyes. I fear this business model as much as I'd fear anti drug laws if I had a handful of drugs while being searched by an officer.

For sure I'd fail. :D

You don't know who is behind all those products. Who was investing and so on. Not everything is publicly available.

Your best bet is to chat with people around the forum on what is required and they may help you validate. There are couple of angel investors here like GringoMonkey.

The thing with being successful in a domain is to find couple figures that you'll follow. Don't follow 59 people and watch random videos. Watch 3 people, talk to 3 - 5 people who you understand. That'd be optimal so you don't get confused by conflicting information from too many sides.

Just because I haven't yet selected an industry to launch my product in doesn't mean I lack experience in specific niches. The decision on which one to pursue can be made later on.

Anyway, thanks for the constructive feedback. It's much appreciated, and I will integrate it into my thought process.

I did not write my message with pessimism in mind. I'm possibly the most optimistic person around.... specifically if I'm the only one around, when I'm alone in my office.

My point was just to prompt you not to easily take the example of the ''influencers'' and their ''self made success''.
To many examples to list now.

And I offered an open question, which you missed apparently. The one vertical everybody should jump on for the next 2 years.

I wish you success with your business endevour, and smooth sail.

Best Of Luck On Your Journey.
Hope You Got Your Achievement In Future.

Sorry. I was super sleepy when I wrote here.

I meant to say: "program saas and sell in a niche that you understand from the inside out". That's it.

It's not completely necessary if you partner with someone who's got know how in a niche, but it would be smart to start like that as it would be less stressful.

You want to get pleasure in this experience.

I started with something I barely understood which was machine learning. I buried the project and don't come back to AI.

Now I like automation. This is good... Been doing different types of automation for many years and that's my best thing.

I unfortunately followed a trend which was AI at the time and it still is.

Hype was just too strong. But today we know GPT-5 will beat gpt-4 and so on. It's a gold rush and in gold rush tons of people just die mining impulsively.

Literally some broke people during gold rush rush in into mine and they try to do that without proper equipment. Emotions are very strong during that time.
Dream big man, you already did a lot by figuring out that it can be done. People crying over your ideas are probably selling $5 gigs on Fiverr
Yes. This man - Marko T - has over 200 bitcoin. Scale to the limit.

Just write your plan of action deliberately and do that for years.

For sure you're gonna master it.

Bro just do your thing. You will learn along the way. This is your microsaas 1 of 100. The first one might not be successful as it is already being speculated. But you must do it as imperfect as you can just do it. If you fail so be it. Go back to the drawing board and launch your next one.
