Update 14/08/17:
To Note:
Quick recap, I'm doing IG+OG... Going to update this weekly to keep myself motivated as well as hopefully help others and contribute more to BHW than I have, although there has been countless of these journey threads hopefully I can help where I can.
Been 6 weeks and 3 days since last update, since then I have scraped my first niche it was very 'seasonal'. Bought a load of accounts and got some more proxies had a few bans and PV's. Swapped from AWS VPS to a paid one as I needed a bit more power, I've had some more conversions and nailed my targeting a little. Now going to try slowly but steadily to scale up and keep reinvesting my profits for testing etc.
First problems I have had since last update is buying some aged accounts from a good seller, I have tried lots and you can really tell the difference between account quality straight away as some get instant PV where as a good batch will have 3 or 4 out of 20 ask for an email confirmation thats it. I've found what has worked best for me is 3+ year old accounts, 2 accounts per proxy, 1 number per account, 1 domain per account, 1 landing page per account, 1 short link per account, 1 content locker per account, warp up for a week plus, don't use bad keywords like free, hack, money (my banned accounts had the same keyword in that the others didn't). Probably overkill and I could save myself a bunch of time having things shared across accounts but I'd rather play safe and not churn and burn accounts if possible.
Next problem was landing pages, from reading other journeys I found that LP's are important what works best for me is using weebly create a nice looking page full it with high quality images and content that makes it believable fake reviews all that jazz. But most important is make your content locker very similar to your LP, in regards to picture used and colour scheme as well as wording. This has a nicer flow to it which increases conversion %. The problem I have had though is LP's banned for abuse they only ban one out of the 10 duplicates but still a pain, I think they may be getting reported but not sure.
Another problem I have had was the Instagram browser can't redirect to app store on iOS I believe but this is fixed with OG short url redirects them to safari otherwise it creates a weird loop thing. Which wastes traffic.
Problem #876 storing account information I left .txt files all over the place in skype chats and all sorts and was a pain to keep track of what account was what and numbers and proxies and bans and PV's and niches and log in details etc etc. So spent many of hours creating a huge excel to store every little detail about all accounts probably overkill yet again but it just makes life a lot easier. What is the best way to store account data?
I know someone will ask what I do for PV's as all the sms sites are dead and have been abused, for me I live in the UK which you can easily order free sims from many suppliers which is handy each service provider limits per address but so far I have more than enough. The only pain is sorting them out I currently have them all numbered in little poly bags so I can switch them out quickly. I looked into a way to have access to physical sims on a PC requires specialised equipment which is like $3k for 100 sim holder.
Also I got fed up of going through accounts to manually check links to see if they worked okay and hadn't been blocked by IG. I managed to find a tool that does this all automatic and shows which ones have errors and what links have been deleted and other little things which is handy.
Another bonus to the journey I didn't consider is the growth of the accounts which don't get banned, majority of the active accounts have amassed 2k followers each over the 47 days they are real people from checking the accounts related to my CPA niches. So I suppose if they continue at that rate then they can be switched from cpa to a niche account related to the followers and make it all nice and see what the engagement is like and sell them on.
Other than all those problems been a great two months! Had three day's of a solid $15 this was due to all active accounts following and none unfollowing need to achieve that constantly. Im still in the red profit wise but I've learnt a lot, not only about this project but the whole sales funnel idea and call to action things and landing pages. Hopefully can apply this to future projects that have more longevity. I know I have a long way to go to reach my main goal of $680 a month with a bit of luck and hard work ill get there.
Bit too long I Know (Could have wrote a SEO guide at this length...) but will keep them shorter from now on and have them more frequent.
