At least one of the simplest. There are many alternatives but if you are planning to self-host it none are as simple as WP nowadays.
But if you want to take a turn-key solution, there are new contenders in the field like Tilda, Webflow and Duda (apart from Wix and Squarespace that are the perma runner ups).
I've tried some of the recently praised CMS like Wagtail and Payload, and despite they are cool, they are never going to get as simple as WP (and they dont have much development behind, in case you want to do some shenanigans with automations and things like that).
And if you are up for the Champions League, checkout Astro.

Today, WordPress is still the top choice for us to experience and use. We have tried a few other applications but still have to come back to WordPress because of its convenience.

If you're concerned about SEO, control, and scalability, WordPress is still king. But for pure blogging speed and simplicity, Ghost is strong. Static site generators like Hugo or Astro are also great—especially if you want performance without plugin bloat. Depends on your goals.

WP doesn't have any serious competitor. It has some decent alternatives, like Ghost, but the hype and user base are much higher, which also means that finding features, plugins and themes for WP is much easier compared to less popular platforms
