After spending some time researching what changes I should apply to get my traffic back since I've lost a big portion of it due to the December Google Update, I came across some interesting information & stats. According to many SEO experts (this what they claim they are), most of the sites that were hit were built mainly around Affiliate marketing. And this is the information that caught my attention since my blog is built around Amazon affiliates. In fact, most of my articles (like 99% of them) are buying guide blog posts. The reason for this is that I'm in a niche where there isn't a lot of informative stuff to talk about.
So my question is, do you guys believe in this theory where Google has targetted blogs that they publish only buying guides articles. Also, are they some of you who have blogs built entirely around buying guide articles, and they are doing well even after the December Google Update? I'm asking these questions because I'm kind of lost between publishing content in my current blog or starting a new one in a different niche where I focus only on informative articles. Unfortunately, I can't do both because I got a limited budget right now, and therefore I'm trying to spend it wisely.
Also, if you got any information related to the December Google Update that can somehow be helpful for blog owners, please feel free to share it below.
