Regarding the journey, I wanted to start one but I'm too lazy and feel like i won't succeed because I have nothing else to make money from while I work on my blog

That's normal i guess. Since it's a new blog, google will keep testing your site.

does your web page has any images?
if so, those "impressions" include the impressions on google image search too!
so if your blog page has "Cat" image, and it appears when someone searches for cat directly on google image search then that will be counted as an impression.

They're testing how it behaves once they show you in the search, think of it as Instagram and your site is a post,
its published, gets some views, if there are clicks then its good and your site will be ranked faster, if no then if will still be ranked but slower,
of course there are many more things that happen but the logic is pretty the same behind the scenes, if its good it will rise, if not, it will sink
