Is there enough product? Things to consider before picking a niche.

In my honest opinion, picking a niche is one of the most important steps in business. You are deciding on what are you going to work for the next years. You have to enjoy it, if you won't -> bad things will happen On top of that, it can easily determine your upcoming success or failure. So... Figuring this out before you invest 1000 hours into a project is some what important decision.

This is what I'm currently doing. I'm absolutely passionate about online education, I see a huge potential and want to pursue it by creating an authority site.

Everything still is in an idea phase. Don't really have a lot of time right now, as I have a job in an agency and studying on top of that.

But this doesn't mean I'm not doing anything. For the next month I will dedicate some time per week only on market/niche research. Currently I have decided that personal development is a great topic to go for, not too broad, not too small. However, I have see one potential problem - is there enough products to sell? How would you determine if there is a lack of products?

Online education is not that easy of a niche imo, you can make money in pretty much anything, the challenge is to find the low-hanging fruits

I assume that you're looking to build a site based on SEO, personal development and all the things that comes along (make money online, lose weight.. )are pretty hard to get started, lot of competition

Maybe you should consider choosing a smaller niche, and then going bigger on your 2nd site !

Indeed, thinking of starting in time management, routine building, communication skills etc.
