Is reselling through Amazon a thing?

Let's say Amazon.com has a product that is not listed on Amazon Spain but Amazon.com would ship it to a customer in Spain.

I have seen people list a product from Amazon.com on Amazon Spain.

They insert the same product with same pictures but say delivery is 2 - 3 weeks (because it comes from Amazon.com).

Is this a thing?
It sounds interesting because you don't have to have inventory.
As soon as somebody buys it from you, you just order it from somebody else and ship it to the customer.

That is quite common.

In fact, I bet it is a decent percentage of the activity there.

Amazing, I never heard of it before.
Is there a term for this so I could check on resources?
Does Amazon officially allow it?
Do merchants ship directly from Amazon.com to the customer or to their own address first?
 
I looked around more and it seems to be called "Amazon Dropshipping" but when I search for it, I only find stuff about dropshipping from china to Amazon and not Amazon to Amazon.
Is there a special term for this?

It is not Amazon to Amazon.

The process:

Joe Blows finds a low-priced product via Walmart online and sees that it is consistently at that price.

Joe then opens an Amazon listing the product for X plus Y(the mark up) sells to Mary Bikini via Amazon, orders the item from Walmart and has it shipped to Mary.

Joe gets paid, Amazon makes their commission, and Mary gets her product.

Now, if Google was Mary's friend but she cannot spell Google so Joe profits.

Right?

Wrong?

To me, it seems like a fair business model, and most of the time, the buyer is happy, so what is the harm other than breaking Amazon's terms of service?
