Please tell me a niche or a few where this is valid. Seems strange if, e.g. all tattoo people want to follow accounts reaching top of hashtags for tattoo, when this is not happening in other niches.

I've helped her do it, her post stayed on top of the tag for quite some time.
I can simultaneously stay on the top of several 1M post for 24h+, it brings zero followers! Can you give a few more details, what niche are we in? Are you sure it was the tag, and not being exposed on the explore tab? Have you done it more than once to confirm this? a 1M hashtag is so little, it sounds extreme if Cherry got 1k+ followers from that.

More than once. At least 20 times. I got varying results from each person though.
Could you please provide some details? Preferable here or in a PM? I'm daily hitting the top of niche specific hashtags ranging from 1M-50M, the lower ones I'm staying there for extended amount of time (12-24 hours). I don't see any effect.
Do I get it right that you are claiming to 20 times have reached the top of a 1,000,000 (1M) post hashtag, which every time have brought 1k+ followers for Cherry? How about other persons with your varying results, what is the minimum, are they different niches?

Out of those 20 times + ; I was able to make it through around 7 times.
Different niches.
Also even if it shows up for you on your desktop/phone doesn't mean it shows up on others. I've had IG done that to me a couple of times, it pisses me off. They ghost tags.
I've confirmed on other accounts on other phones that my photos are indeed showing up on the top of tags. How do you know that the traffic comes from that specific tag, and how do you rule out that it is not from hitting the explore tab, when the explore tab is dynamic and different for all of us?

Yes, that's correct. I usually get only around 100+ followers per day, and on that day that I got into the Top Posts for some hashtags (for almost 2 days), that's when I got 1k followers which doesn't happen every time I post.

Actually, that wasn't the time when you helped me get to the top. I did it on my own when I found out that there's actually a way for me to do it. Although when you helped me, I got a lot of followers as well.

No, he didn't make me get to any top hashtag that has more than 1 million posts. He helped me make it to some hashtags that has less than 1 million posts and that was the first time. When I tried to do it on my own (he told me the method), that's when I got around 1k followers. Cheers!

And you are sure this was not coincidentally happening while you also got on the explore page? This for sure does not work in my niches. And others seems to be with me on that one, so it seems more logical to me that something else triggered it.

Don't bother reaching top tags on tags your targeted audience don't even bother to check.
Besides trial and error, there is not really any way I can learn which tags my targeted audience are searching for - I'm mixing up my tags every day, and I've yet to hit a tag that would bring me 1k+ of followers. Lets say my niche is travel, italy, rome - Then I have 30 tags spread across these, so the small and super specific tags would include only rome, the bit wider italy and the super wide and biggest tag for travel. I'm getting on the top of all of them, but gain 0 followers from this.
I'm getting on the top of everything from the 1st to the 4th "generation" of hashtags, using the Rome example again, I'd go on the top of travel, italy, rome and colosseum.

You didn't gain 1k+ because of the hashtag, but because you hit explore. And when you hit explore, it's most likely you hit all the tags as well. The other way around, hitting 80% of the tags, but not getting to explore, the gain is neglectable.
You can even hit explore without tags and gain massively.

Probably, but as far as I know I only gained 1k+ followers because I made it to the Top Posts for some of the popular hashtags and it doesn't always happen.
Wish I could hit explore for every post then I won't be needing my bot anymore. lol

I believe it's a combination of many variable factors which I can't put my finger on (nobody can). Powerlikes is 1 of them yes.
