All facebook pages keep dropping on reach in an extreme way, so the only way now to get decent exposure on Facebook is paying ads and promoted posts which changes the whole game. I've read several articles that this year Facebook reach may drop to 0. So investing in viral content is worthless now? Does it matter to get likes and shares in posts? Does is matter to have likes in your page at this point?

I think that the whole game now is do some nice facebook post paste a link and get some fast ROI. Also creating profiles again is business since they are getting more exposure than the facebook pages...

What do you guys think about this facebook changes? Would you keep marketing products in Facebook?

You are going to have to promote your posts in the future to reach your audience. There is still value in having a Facebook page with a link out to your site. Just add content to the page for the sake of new users.

I just junked my fanpages... my fanpage with 80k real, natural, targetted, fans only have 100+ reach... LOLz facebook becoming like google already...

It's practically a joke.. I have a several 100k pages and they only reach 300 people, it's ridiculous.

The strategies Facebook is using, will ultimately cause its downfall! Instead of being a social and connective network, it'll end up being being an "ad marketplace".
There are still ways you can make viral content, you just have to invest a couple of dollars initially, and hope the people who see your "sponsored content", share it.

That's pretty much they way it's becoming now

I think it's still worthwhile so long as you're supply quality content to the pages.

In the long run, people will continue reaching and your overall reach will still become higher, even though you're no longer reaching all the people who follow you. You can also ask people to mark you to 'always show your posts' so that they will always see your content in their feeds.

They say that your content needs to be original and engaging. Any posts like "Like this if you agree" etc., are going down in the reach.

That is exactly what they want though. They want only the paid advertisers/promoters to be there and users only seeing friends and paid ad's... with no other free promotion pages getting seen. That way you are forced to pay. Joke is on them, though, because I see no value in paying to advertise on FB unless it were CRAZY cheap.

Facebook made changes and now since they rolled out their new app in mobile, the reach is now so low. I've seen a lot of clients/real people claiming that sometimes they don't see updates that they like on their feeds anymore. I think it's time to bail out and focus more on Google Plus

I just posted this 5minutes ago in another thread on here:

"I see many people who used it to promote music now leaving it due to the reach their band/music page gets when they have 10,000 real members it reaches 20/25. And get asked if want advertise.."

Yeah, I've noticed that too... a bit frustrating. Just make sure the content you post is of high quality like #7 (Argoss) said! :)

Profiles are coming back? you mean like $50 for 5,000 friends?

For many businesses, Facebook became a replacement for a web page and free advertising at the same time. That is definitely changing, but there are some reasons to throw down a little money and pay to promote posts. First off, it's pretty cheap and for a small business, you'll reach more people than ever before. Plus, promoting helps you reach a new set of highly targeted eyes for your content. And if you've created a page that people are regularly visiting, Facebook can't stop that. So, Facebook pages are only worthless if you make them worthless. This reCode article was pretty good on the subject. http://recode.net/2014/04/07/from-growing-likes-to-growing-customers/

This is ridiculous!

People/Fans already liked your page and instead seeing your posts you should pay for that?!
It's same like restaurant paid for advertisement - clients came into and then restaurant chief should pay again to be able serving his clients?!
