Iphone just bricked - best android to buy

Android can be configured to offer some privacy. There are lots of online guides for that.

But, as I've said before, I consider anything on my phone to be public. It's just good practice.

I've used Apple, Samsung, Huawei and OPPO.

Apple is a no go. Won't buy an iPhone ever again.
Samsung has some really great phones but they can be costly.
Huawei is fantastic, incredible power and the displays are 2nd to none.
OPPO seems like a budget huawei. Cheap and cheerful.

Huawei takes the cake for me. Especially the Mate series

Moto g phones I'd recommend, are relatively cheap, I currently have Moto g 5, had it for quite a while works perfectly fine.

Budget Huawei was the worst experience in my life.
Budget Xiaomi on the other hand was okay. Not the best, but okay. I could use it instead of an iPhone during hard times.

The best phone for me I think was LG G2. Then I would say Xperia was cool experience.
Xiaomi is just not the brand to deliver the nice design and luxurious feel. It's like very average.

Samsung tricked my mind by thinking there were dozens of versions like Galaxy S11, S12, S13, S14, ... up to S21.
But no, Samsung phones still are not what I would be looking for. They have so much bloatware and their "own store" that it's just horrible experience.
The MIUI sucks in terms of design. :)

But check Sony, Motorola and LG if you're looking for something to replace the iPhone. It must be of course "premium" segment.

It's a pity that phones for $1200 are normal now. Back in the days $400 and I've had the best phone in the industry.
I don't know what is this trend of super expensive electronics. Everyone getting their i9 CPUs and RTX 3090 TI.
Who the hell needs that.

Alright, I convinced myself LG is my next phone I will buy in 3 years. :)

I am share holder of Coca Cola and would recommend you to drink $350 worth of Coca Cola within 3 years for my better returns on coca cola shares.

Just get a galaxy S21

What's your budget? How much are you wanting to spend. If money is no problem, just go for the S21 Ultra. I have one and absolutely love it. The camera and battery life are awesome.
Is Android on this customizeable?

Yeah the bloatware for samsung I have heard sucks ass.
Exactly i don't need crazy stuff on my phone. Just to check instagram and text friends. Dont need to mine bitcoin in my pocket. the advanced cores etc are ridiculous.

I will look at xperia. that seems cool.

The best thing you can do is go to store and check what gives you the wow effect.
Also watch 10 reviews of different phones you find on the internet. You will make the best buy that way.
You can't get a tailor-made phone. But you can make it fit.

Everything on apple automatically opens on safari
A setting you can change.
Backing up is a pain
iCloud is very handy if you are within the Apple ecosystem. If not, I fully understand.
can't change region of apple ID
Annoying, I understand but I also don't understand why one would need to change their region.
can't access any data on the phone from computer - if you wanted to back up your notes then you would have to email every single one of your notes through gmail
Understandably annoying. Tbh I never even considered one would buy an iPhone without having a mac.
camera isn't good
The latest iPhone actually has the second most sophisticated camera on the market currently.
designed to deteriorate in quality over time
True. This feature is terrible and shouldn't be legal.
can only download apps from app store
I might be too much of a boomer to understand why you'd need more apps
ALL NSFW discord servers are banned on Iphone due to the age restriction in place with the app store, so all discord servers with a NSFW is unuseable rendering discord on iphone pretty much useless
Again, boomer.
youtube is pretty much useless on iphone due to the age restriction now also in place - unless you want to add your credit card and ID to google (if you want to do this go ahead lol)
Age restriction? How old are you???
Has a dogsh*t teir waterproofing
I'm starting to believe you have an older version...

From your complaints, I can only suggest you get the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra.
Anything else would either not be waterproof enough or the camera would be worse than the latest iPhone.

If you want to record videos like a pro, learn to do it with a real camera. Lol.

I saw my friends recording a music video with the latest iPhone.
And they never looked like they were recorded with a $10k camera.
It's just not true you can replace professional kit with a phone and AI boosted stuff.
They are not good pieces to record professional grade music videos.
You will be disappointed if you want to be a pro.

It might be good for static images on a sunny day or taking IG photos in decent lighting.
But recording serious material with it is not the best idea.

Everything on apple automatically opens on safari
Can change that, I don’t even have safari installed on my iPhones or iPads
Press-and-hold links auto open safari, even if you only want to copy the link for later it will open and send the data through whatever internet you are currently using
Can be changed
Backing up is a pain
  1. limited backup options
  2. only option is icloud which is paid
I backup to 3 different services besides iCloud, no issues.
if you wanted to back up your notes then you would have to email every single one of your notes through gmail
Do people use that app? There are so many better ones, and they have great backup options.

Looks like iPhone users do not know how to research their own technology. Sad.

go for oneplus it has pretty decent configuration
Checkout Oneplus Nord

I can recommend you ASUS Zenfone. It has a good value or money, in general ASUS produces good quality for a fair price. Good display, good camera, good speed, good sound, good for games and business use, also ASUS regularly is providing updates.

The flip camera is quit unique and what I really like: the Zenfones supporting a lot of frequencies. Ao wherever I go I have good connection. With other phones with the same provider often connection was poor or slow.

$1000 for Zenfone 8. Now that's a fair price.

More like anti-Apple fanboys complain about Apple thinking they can’t do stuff cause some 90yr old lady said she couldn’t do it on her iPhone 1 last week…

Hey guys anyone use android? Which is the best to buy??
My iphone just broke and I don't want to buy apple again lol
Just buy about 10 different Xiaomi for different mood for the same price as an Iphone 12

I will list the things that come off the top of my head.

  1. Everything on apple automatically opens on safari
  2. Press-and-hold links auto open safari, even if you only want to copy the link for later it will open and send the data through whatever internet you are currently using
  3. Backing up is a pain
    1. limited backup options
    2. only option is icloud which is paid
  4. can't change region of apple ID
  5. if you change region of apple ID it will reset your app data
  6. can't access any data on the phone from computer - if you wanted to back up your notes then you would have to email every single one of your notes through gmail
  7. apple has lame colors
  8. camera isn't good
  9. designed to deteriorate in quality over time
  10. can only download apps from app store
  11. ALL NSFW discord servers are banned on Iphone due to the age restriction in place with the app store, so all discord servers with a NSFW is unuseable rendering discord on iphone pretty much useless
  12. youtube is pretty much useless on iphone due to the age restriction now also in place - unless you want to add your credit card and ID to google (if you want to do this go ahead lol)
  13. Half of telegram is banned on Apple due to age restriction and will probably eventually get banned alltogether due to it being private
  14. Has a dogsh*t teir waterproofing
Hey, if none of these affect you then go ahead and buy apple. But all this stuff has constantly been annoying for years to me. Never again will I touch another Apple product.

Seriously? :D you must be really bothered by all of this when you took time to write it :D
Fortunately, none of it affects me, so for now, iPhone stays my choice.

The camera isn't good. It's great. :)

I would recommend the google pixel, I have one and it works great in terms of storage and battery.
