I recently received a message that included a description, and when clicked I got redirected to a photoshop page asking to purchase their software. The weird thing about the message is that there was no actual URL in the message, but it still redirected me to a website (screenshot of message in attachment).
I looked online and I found 2 ways people peop this would work.
Way 1: enter the URL, let Instagram generate a preview and then delete the URL, but preserve the preview and send like that. But, Instagram does no longer generate previews with urls whilst you're typing. Instagram does it after you sent them, so this is not an option.
Way 2: share the website on whatsapp and copy the preview there and delete the URL so only the preview stays. Again, this method does not work. If you delete the URL instagram does not send a preview and people are not redirected when they click your message.
Does anyone here know how I would be able to achieve a message like the one in my attachment? I have a good understanding of php and I have used the Instagram API a few times, so if It's not possible in the app of on the website, I could write a way to do it, but I'd still need someone to tell me how it works, I have no clue how to do this right now...
