Trying to follow some of the guidelines here.

Working close to private equity in the micromobility space, with a fairly established business in the US that sells both direct to consumer (ecomm) as well as to dealers all over the country.
Beyond that we have startups in the clean air space technology realm, as well as a couple of new ventures we are looking to kick-off in the coming months (a social media platform, an shopify/e-commerce shop, etc).

We had an marketing agency assisting with our Google Ads / Meta Ads and have had little success with them. After doing a bunch of research, I discovered this site which has opened my eyes into the possibility of what can actually be done (and what is out there).

I've got graphic designers, web developers, and honestly the piece of the puzzle I'm missing is the marketing piece in the form of a good social media/marketing strategist, with a good push on Google Ads / Meta ads (for which we've had little success despite spending thousands of dollars monthly).

Not sure I'll ever be as good in learning this all by myself, but I'm here to learn about the tools out there, the basics of how this can all be done, and hopefully cross paths with people who can advise on where I can find the right human or computer resources to get all of this done in the most efficient way possible.

Also - I think part of the challenge here is the overwhelming amount of stuff posted.

Every forum area has the "read this before" section, but with so much information it can honestly be hard to stay focused and find a place to start.

Hoping I can make way over the coming weeks on a lot of the content and terminology used

Success in ads often comes down to the right strategy and targeting. Have you considered trying a performance-based agency or consultant?

I've never considered it, and don't know where to start to either find the right consultant and/or performance-based agency. I would certainly be open to it.

The reality is that we sell one of the highest quality products in the market, that carries a bit of brand recognition in the space (meaning if you were to call the average shop, they likely have heard of our brand and products), and yet have struggled to properly utilize Google Ads / Meta Ads to drive an incremental amount of sales.

Most of our traffic is fairly organic, and while I don't know how I can measure things like what our "backlinks" are like and what not, we have a really good natural presence everywhere. In fact despite us only serving the US market , we get emails and inquiries from all over the world (other regions have other distributors).

Welcome to BlackHatWorld @martinga

There is no short answer about BHW, so here are some main points you could focus on.

You should start from the Newbie Guide and go from there.

BHW covers a wide range of topics, including SEO (white and black hat), social media marketing, content writing, affiliate marketing, AI, Crypto, and much more
- Check the Forum List.

There's also a significant focus on "black hat" techniques, which are more aggressive SEO tactics that aren't always in line with search engine guidelines.

When you first join, it can be overwhelming due to the sheer amount of content available.

Start with the sticky posts in each forum section.

The staff members selected these because they provide foundational information and guidelines.

BHW also has a lot of guides on 'how-to' & step-by-step - Search

The guides and tutorials can be valuable as they often contain step-by-step processes and insights from experienced members.

Read the forum rules thoroughly to understand what is expected regarding behavior.

Engaging respectfully will help you build a positive reputation and encourage others to share their knowledge.

Once you're comfortable, start sharing your experiences.

BHW is a community-driven forum, and members benefit from each other's successes and mistakes.

Sharing detailed case studies or asking specific questions about your websites/business/projects can lead to valuable feedback and new learning opportunities.

Participating actively in discussions or subscribing/watching popular threads can keep you updated with the latest tools, trends, and updates in the industry.

BHW has a marketplace where members buy and sell services, from SEO packages to content creation services.

This can be a great resource, whether you’re looking for help or offering your services.

It's important to remind you that you have to upgrade your account to be able to sell.

For more details, check Account Upgrades. I also recommend BHW Member Levels.

It's always important to stay safe, so always exercise due diligence and check reviews and feedback before engaging in transactions.

Use BHW as a learning tool, apply the techniques you learn, test different strategies, and be persistent.

Learning from others and contributing your knowledge to the community will help your experience and growth.

Enjoy your time on BHW!

Welcome @martinga, great intro, enjoy your staying

Welcome, I have gotten many a headache from reading a ton of threads fully in a day, but even without direction it all starts to paint a picture that is helpful still! I bookmark a lot and go back to them later as well! Looks like you got some good direction above though and the search bar works great for me! Good luck!
