How to: watch threads and follow members

Personalising the BHW home page
Well, you can't actually personalise the home page (unless you're a paid member - more about that here) - the threads you see on the home page are the ones that are being engaged with at that very moment. If you only want to see certain forums or threads on certain topics then you can follow those parts of BHW. Go to the forum you find most interesting or useful and click Watch Forum:



A pop-up window will appear, giving you notification options:



Once you've made your selections and clicked 'Watch Forum' you will get alerts for what you've chosen, thus allowing you to follow only the parts of BHW that are most useful to you. You can then manage your list of watched threads here https://www.blackhatworld.com/watched/threads

You can do a similar thing with members...

Following other members
Once you've started reading around the forum, you'll start to notice which users you find particularly interesting or useful. They may be an expert in the field you work in, or you might just like their sense of humour. To keep up with everything they're contributing to the forum, you can follow these members so their posts appear in your news feed.

Go to the member's profile and click 'Follow' under their message count:



Or click on their username on any post or thread and click 'Follow' in the pop window:

hmm.... where is "watched forum" page or link? i have added 2 forums to watch status, but dont see a way of my getting to that filtered view.

update: figured it out. it is not visible in the homepage view. once you are in a forum, you will see "watched forum" link in the top menu. do a "ctrl+f" on the page and search for it.

now, how can I see all posts in the forums that I am watching in a single view?

There's a button in the site header under Forums that says "Watched Threads":
