Cool stuff. What's the difference between a Marketplace Seller and a Jr VIP though @Apricot?

Nice list!
@Conor difference is the marketplace seller doesnt have to be a Jr.Vip

Sticky this and make everyone read it :)

Can't believe people actually do this stuff 'DO NOT spam their PM's asking for money making methods or for coaching! '

@Conor they're not invited into out nice, comfortable lounge. Nor do they get access to all the good stuff in there :)

Great, while we're at it, where are our beloved stars, which were promised to be back? Honestly i'm not sure, if i even miss them anymore, i guess that's the idea behind not bringing them back yet. Delay it enough and people won't miss it anymore. :D

Also, why is that some Jr. VIPs have the Premium Member title too, while other Jr. VIPs don't?

A Marketplace seller is someone who is otherwise not engaged with the community or wishes to bypass the regular Jr. VIP requirements (100 posts, 60 days on the forum) in order to be able to post a Marketplace thread. At such times, he/she can opt to pay a $499 marketplace fee and get going with his thread. Everything else such as Moderator approvals, Marketplace rules etc. apply to them as well, except that they are not Jr. VIP and don't have access to that section.

Good move guys! This should bring a lot of stagnant people out of the woodwork.

Edit - That last line was meant to be a reply on @Diamond Damien's thread where the recurring fee is enforced. This is what happens when you multitask, while you're already multitasking.

In any case, @Apricot - can you guys have it such that a link to this thread is sent as Notification to the existing members and is included in a Welcome PM to every new member?

Good infos...as were alot of members asking for them. Keep up the good work and stay safe.

@Diamond Damien stated back in July that the star feature isn't currently a at the top of their list at the moment and that BHW now displays the post count metric in 4 different places. Admittedly, I liked the stars, but much like you said, I'm not even sure if I miss them anymore.
Personal stars displayed how many posts you'd made within specific groupings. We now display this metric clearly in 4 places. A metric again deploying your post count grouping for a 5th time isn't currently top of list. The other use of stars was an arbitrary metric based on people knowing that the function existed within the thread functions. This has been replaced with the cumulative thanks count displaying on all thread views in each subforum.
It's not broken it's just being displayed in an alternate way.
It means it's not top of list at the moment. Never say never - but with so many ways of showing how many posts you've created another is rather OTT and misleading?
As for the Premium member titles @HoNeYBiRD, I'm not entirely sure about that one. I know there are some members like @Asif WILSON Khan who have the premium title, but not the Jr. VIP title. I suppose if it bothers you, then you could always request to have it fixed on your profile.

MOD SURFING / ABUSE:
The following counts as mod-surfing and will result in your account being infracted or banned for mod abuse:
  • Sending the same PM to multiple mods
  • Asking the same question multiple times to get a different answer
  • Trying to jump queues by emailing or skyping mods
  • Asking mods to remove another mod's infraction
  • Complaining publicly about a specific infraction or mod
Here I thought mod surfing was a Hawaiian vacation for moderators sponsored by Billabong. ;)

Anyway, this is a great post, Apricot!

@Zwielicht: Yea, i remember what DD said about the stars, but it was back in July as you said and now it's November. I guess we won't get them back. It was easier to distinguish between users just by looking at the stars when scrolling in a thread, it was more handier than displaying the post count in 4 places imho.

Regarding to the Premium Member title: i just noticed it yesterday, it doesn't bother me, it's just weird and looks odd. Not just because it's missing for some of us, but Jr. VIP and Premium Member are supposed to be two different things as explained by Apricot above. They always were.

Personally i like pretty much every change on the new forum except this bit. Just look at a Jr. VIP profile, now every Jr. VIP profile says 2 times Jr. VIP and most says Premium Member too one time. Why? One Jr. VIP title would be surely enough, i see why it's like this now, because we have the badge and for instance in your case the other Jr. VIP title is changed to MiT, but it's more like the exception, not the rule.
All in all, i think we had a better system for this on the old forum with the stars, one customizable user title and the Donor badge. I wouldn't have done anything else to this part than polishing the stars a bit and keep the rest intact.

And i always need to remind myself that it's just an online place, don't take it too seriously lol, but i guess i can't help myself and i'm too sensitive about the details. :)

I was excited for those to come back. I was hoping they'd bring that back, being that it's easier on the eyes for when you're quick scrolling. I had a discussion with @Apricot and we spoke about seeing if the old feature of editing your Jr VIP title would be coming back. I'd like to see that happen in place of having the duplicate 'jr vip'.

Overall though, loving the new changes, great thread.
Cheers!
