Hi everyone!

Currently setting up a new website for our already existing business.
I have it set up with a blog to rank for keywords, and I also have a section on our page for our previous projects. I was planning on linking all the project categories to its related blog article.

Since there is about 5-7 projects per related article, will I have issues with too many internal links to the article, or is there no such thing?

Look forward to hearing your input.

Okay, thank you. Would it be optimal to have one main project that links to the specified blog article, or have all the projects link to the article you think?

All articles that are related to the page you want to link to can have links to it.

internal link is always good for your website. dont worry about it

Thanks a lot for the quick replies guys :-)

I use Ultimate Posts Widget on WordPress in the sidebar to link to post in the same category as well as links in the main content.

You don't want to overdo internal links as it will dilute PageRank passing from one page to another.

I use Ahrefs Site Audit tool and Site Explorer in order to find pages with the highest number of backlinks and UR in order to know what pages are best to place internal links to pass the most link juice/PageRank.

Thanks, will check those plugins out. My plan is using sub-keywords on the projects, and link them to the related topic with the main keyword on the blog article.

Hi guys,
in such an example I would link the blog article with a different keyword from each project page doing it as more user friendly as possible. I.e:
  • Project 1: anchor text with something like "a good example" of this subject is ...
  • Project 2: anchor text with the main keyword you want to rank for the blog article placed at the beginning of the page.
  • Project 3: anchor text with a variant of the main keyword you want to rank for the blog article.
  • Project 4: anchor text with a related keyword.
  • Project 5: anchor text with a related keyword (different from the previous one).
I'ts also important the context of the link, the content of the paragraph it appears in: I would place the link in a bunch of related words/phrase, not exact match keywords but somewhere where it's clear that I'm writing about a specific topic.

It would be useful also to create a keyword set for each subject and link between related blog articles in the same way.

Hope it's helpful.
