It all comes down to leverage, risk, and potential growth.
Leverage
With bots, I can leverage amazing growth, across 100's of accounts, with low hours of work. Yes it takes a huge chunk of hours per account to setup initially, but once it's automated, I never have to look at it again. When managing by hand, I can only manage 2-3 personally before going crazy and burnt out.
Risk
I can run promotional marketing for free. Won't cost me a dime. The bots are already gathering followers from the tiny niche that I intend to sell to. I know colleagues spending $10K a month in Facebook Ads with great success on their products. I will essentially have this same potential for free.
Potential Growth
IG is still expanding and growing like crazy - faster than many social networks out there...
Im in the same kind of experimental boat. i had thoughts of going down a mass instagram growth pathway, but what for?
I spent the past two weeks reading and learning about massplanner and proxies and a whole lot of other stuff, its fairly time consuming to the point that its taken my focus away from my startup business.
Building my website, using other media platforms and other forms of advertisement is what i should be focused on.
Ive decided on no more than 5 instgram accounts as this is personally managable from my smartphone and not needing vps', proxies and the what not. Buying IG accounts, gmail accounts, sims is still time consuming.
Im finding that by cutting down i can exert more time into the above, blogs, podasts, amazon FBA, domain site and not to mention other forms of social media.
I would only go down this path of growing huge muliples of accounts if you want to do CPA or sell off grown IG accounts.
I only had to have a few hours of IG account bans, shadow bans, PVAs and email veris to know my time could be spent elsewhere into a business.
Just my thoughts but if you look at the entreprenuer guys on podcasts, think of foundr magazine, @rich20something, smart passive income podcast all of whom have podcast relating to having one IG account for their one business and another one for personal.
When you think about it, all the huge conglomerates only have one IG account unless they have an IG account in different continents. But i dont see a business like H&M or Zara having a team of programmers growing IG accounts through massplanner.
They all managed to hit 500k to 1m followers so i dont see what point it is to have 500+ IG accounts growing unless you sell them or CPA...
I think the once the idea of having a massive IG account is thought of, then having multiples of 100k accounts and the thought of using them as leverage, and then wanting to take up the challenge of outsmarting instagram, the whole process becomes very addictive and time consuming. it just takes time away from building your tangible business.
my current setup, i have 4 accounts on the wifi ip at home. local australia. all on maasplanner following and liking/commenting throughout the night. then at my fulltime job office i switch to an iphone app that auto unfollows the 4 accounts and i make posts throughout the day on my phone for the 4 accounts. i know MP can do this but i like being hands on and not worrying about being verified. not time consuming, i post during my breaks.
