Instagram Hashtags on story

Ive searched on this forums and havemt found anything really talking about this, but i was wondering about hashtags on instagram stories.

For example if you search for the #lol hashtag and you click the stoey icon for that you see stories from other accounts, and they arent even that big (100 followers).

So id decided id try to get followers from this, so i made a story with my @ and a relevant post and filled it with 30 hashtags, but when i go to the tag stories, i dont see mine. Just need clarification here, am i missing something or is it random?

Or is it like posts where if they are popular enough and get enough views then it will appear on the tag?

I added one or two popular hashtags to my own instagram stories and my story did show up when I search for the hashtags (using other instagram account), great exposure I thought. Other times, I added one other hashtags which are not very popular (under 10k) and when i searched for it, my story didn't show up

I guess the in order for your story to be shown with a hashtag, that hashtag needs to be over 10k on instagram.
