Instagram keeps changing limits, so it’s hard to know the exact number. A safer way is to focus on steady growth, spread actions throughout the day and don’t make your account look automated. That usually helps avoid blocks more than just counting follows.

Right now IG doesn’t give an exact number, but safe range is around 150–200 follows per 24h. After the Aug 16 update, people usually warm up by mixing actions slowly (likes, comments, a few follows) instead of spamming only follows.
