Hey guys, I know this has been dragging on for ages, but has anyone had any luck beating the API or found an alternative for mass liking/following? Someone mentioned the user "Jackonly" likes every picture and now he is nearly at 90k followers...he isn't famous and actually asks whether there are any jobs in New York so the fact that he has has that many followers baffles me. Anyway if anyone has any idea how this guy did it, please share.

Hey

We are working on a bot and here's the limitations we have found till now:
1. 150 follows per hour per account
2. 150 unfollows per hour per account
3. 150 likes per hour per account
4. ~50 comments per hour per account

There is no way to go over that limit. You can only go so much.

As for followers that the person you are talking about has, well I don't know him or his software, so won't comment on that unless I can see a proof.

Around when should the bot be released?

We are ready with a working prototype that does what it promises to do. There, however, need to be some perfection in it. Expect it to come out in a couple of weeks.

Oh, and I forgot to mention this: There are also some IP limitations imposed. I'm not sure how much they are, but they certainly are there.

Here is a little proof, http://statigr.am/viewer.php#/user/1011269/

Wow, those are some pretty amazing stats. Would you happen to know where he got that bot from to get so many followers?

Pretty sure he did all of that BEFORE the instagram api limitations. Once you get high enough you don't have to do any work at all. The follows will just come.

The bot I sold is being hit by the limitations that have put in place - like others have said, before the limits were put in place it was good to go, add as many etc so thats how the guys with the big numbers of followers etc did it (in my opinion).

To be honest if you look back, in my experience this has happened across most sites. Think of Tumblr, Pinterest and now Instagram.

When they were young and new they wanted people to go to the sites and they, in my opinion, turned a blind eye to bots. What do bots do, make it look like your site is insanely popular and that attracts real people - when the influx of real people starts they impose limits.

I have seen this happen with the main bots I have across Tumblr, Pinterest and Instagram (its a pain in the ass!). They still work, jut slowly!

i currently have a bot similiar to this program its ridiculous i didnt buy or hear of this one in advance. so how long did it take for you to gain that 4 million following.?
how fast does the bot follow?

Niles - its not the OP who has the 4million followers, its a user on Instagram. Like others have said, most of those were probably gained before the limits started kicking in.

and how about the people who are still gaining 2-5,000 followers a day after the limits??? what do you think they r doing

this is just a possibility, but maybe they are using multiple accounts and funneling all that traffic to their one main account :)

Had asked the same question in another post but never got an answer. But I did notice that some of the aggressive IG accounts that add 1-5K per day started to disappear. Not sure if IG is starting to crack down or more people block/report accounts that seem spammy by liking every photo and following/unfollowing but I doubt you will get the same results as the IG user mentioned in OP.

Here's why:
- The guy is doing it for PR not for clickthroughs.
- He only posts original content
- He is a model

Sorry if this seems obvious but if you read the comments on his IG feed you realize that all these girls are actually interested in the stuff he posts. He obviously runs a bot but I don't think he's some sort of IG magician with a silver bullet. It's just that his convergence rate is much higher than average.

Yeah, I found a way to mass follow without limits now so it's alright, not using the API anymore.
